Movie Casting Call

A new movie casting call is now holding actor auditions.  Casting directors are seeking lead actors to play high school students in a movie about Bourgade Catholic High School 1984-1988. Class genius vs. class clowns. We’re starting by shooting some 5 minute clips. More scenes will be filmed as interest in the movie grows and as the Phoenix community gets more involved. We plan to do a lot of crowdsourcing.

About the Movie

Entire project has potential to be 2 feature-length movies (2 screenplays have already been completed). Therefore lead actors must be committed to being in Phoenix for the next two years (2017-2018). We will not look at candidates outside of Phoenix and its immediate suburbs.

What They Are Looking For

All high school characters are preferred to be age 18-23. We may select teens if they can prove that their parents are also committed to keeping their teens on the project for the next two years. Non-union only.

Characters:
Lisa S
Math genius. Very nice, innocent. High school student, freshman through senior year, perhaps a scene at age 23. Female. 80’s hair – long and in a side ponytail. White, thin preferred.

Steve O
Male high school kid, freshman through senior year, perhaps a scene at age 23. Short 80’s hair parted in middle. Doofus jock, class clown. Twin of Ken. If you have a sibling or friend who can act and could pass as your same-age sibling, please apply.

Ken O
Male high school kid, freshman through senior year, perhaps a scene at age 23. Short 80’s hair parted in middle. Doofus jock, trouble instigator. Twin of Steve.

Tim
Male high school kid. Very gay. Gossipy. Somewhat smart. Thin.

Monica
Female high school kid. Somewhat smart. Sarcastic. A little awkward, can be slightly chunky. Hair like Lovey Howell preferred.

Rick
Male high school kid. Smart, shy. A little awkward, perhaps like Michael Cera.

John Schmaltz
Male high school student. Very smart, preppy, popular, rich, senior class president, valedictorian. Very dry, stone-faced, quirky sense of humor. Buzz haircut preferred.

Lisa M
Female high school kid, freshman through senior year. Dark Farrah Fawcett hair. Mean head cheerleader.

Lisa P
Female high school kid, freshman through senior year. Blond Farrah Fawcett hair. Friendly cheerleader.

Michelle 1
Female high school kid. Dumb and obnoxious. Sycophant of Lisa M. Crass cheerleader.

Mrs. Moore
Female high school physics teacher. Very smart, professional. Age 40-60.

Mr. Cotter
Male high school religion teacher. Mentor & a feminist. Late 20’s – early 30’s.

Bit parts & extras:
There will be several scenes with high school kids, parents, and teachers in the background. Adults of any age welcome to participate.

Include any supporting resume information and links to video(s) of your previous performances. If you have access to any cars vintage 1960-1988, please mention. Ownership of ’80’s clothing and Bourgade uniform skirts is also a plus. We will be contacting actors to attend auditions at Hazelwood Studios near 44th St. & Camelback in December & January.
