Auditions for “Hidden Figures” in Atlanta, GeorgiaThe feature film “Hidden Figures” is seeking extras to help their film come to life. The film is based on a true story and inspired by a book of the same name. It stars Kevin Costner, Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Octavia Spencer (The Help) and Kirsten Dunst (Spiderman, Spiderman 2, Spiderman 3). The film tells a story of NASA history you may have never heard of.About The FilmThe book “Hidden Figures” is set to be released in September of this year while the film will be released in the winter of 2017. According to the author Margot Lee Shetterly’s website, the synopsis is “Most Americans have no idea that from the 1940s through the 1960s, a cadre of African-American women formed part of the country’s space work force, or that this group—mathematical ground troops in the Cold War helped provide NASA with the raw computing power it needed to dominate the heavens. Hidden Figures recovers the history of these pioneering women and situates it in the intersection of the defining movements of the American century: the Cold War, the Space Race, the Civil Rights movement and the quest for gender equality. ”Marinella Hume Casting will be holding an open call audition for “Hidden Figures” near Atlanta, Georgia. This is a period feature film (they will be considering actors for other television shows as well).
