I’m a 14 year old actress currently searching for an amazing experience to get myself out there in the acting world!! I’m so thrilled to be hearing that the Disney open calls will be making their way back to the beautiful Wilmington N.C. I’m 5’4 in height with medium colored brown hair down to my mid back, and huge brown eyes, so I’ve been told and I also have a medium-Caucasian skin tone. In my past I have participated in 3 plays and 4 musicals, and a workshop for our local theater. I never really consider acting as something I was good at until I recently performed in the musical “The Wizard of Oz.” Personally I have never been asked for an autograph in my entire life and to have performed in a Matinée for about 900 little k-2nd graders as a lead role of the Cowardly Lion, it really warmed my heart when they asked me for pictures and autographs!! I think I would be a perfect pick any Disney role, from a lead to an extra in the back. I would always find a way to make my character unique is its own way! I’m a very bright, friendly, positive, energetic, funny, and ongoing person and will do anything onstage to keep the crowd going and really enjoying themselves and the show/movie that they are watching! AltheaHi, I’m Althea, Ever since I was little I Have Been so jealous of all the Singers, Actors, And Actresses on Disney, And Just Recently my mom let me come on to one of these sites. Okay I know a sob story is kinda cliche but here is mine: So when I was Seven i was diagnosed with add (attention deflect disorder), Soon After i was diagnosed with depression. I attempted suicide. I was sent to a hospital near me, there i was put on a bunch of medicines and I started therapy. i was failing in all my classes and barely passed second grade. But now I am going into seventh grade, my report card was all A’s with one B (in Gym) my hobbies are reading, writing, singing, playing video games, And anything musical or creative. ChaseWow… So many people commenting. Makes it look impossible to even have a shot at getting any part whatsoever. Would it even be worth traveling a few hours then waiting in a room for a few hours just to audition and maybe not even be liked? I think not. I’m a 16 year old male and I too would love to act for Disney, or any company for that matter. Not for the fame, or the publicity, but for the fun. I think acting for a career would be one of the best things ever, but the more I want to do it the more I realize I won’t be able too. Honestly, who is even going to read these comments? Singing may be a little on the week side, but I won’t let that stop me. I work really hard on my voice and I’ve been in an advanced festival choral competition and won gold first. It’s not the fact that I want to be famous because that’s the least of my concern. What I really care about is the beautiful art of acting. I love to put a smile on people’s faces and I always do. When I make mistakes, I always find a way to fix them. I’m very quick to switch to different environments if need be.
