TanishaHello, Disney Channel: My name is Tanisha. I’m from Puerto Rico and I’m 14 years old turning 15 this summer. Ever since I can recall, I’ve dreamed on being on TV. It has always been a passion of mine. Even though my favorite subjects are Math and Science, acting is what I admire. Since a little girl I would always tell my dad that I would love to do something related to the television. It really didn’t matter if I only appeared two seconds, it would have been more than enough. Up until this day I haven’t done anything that has to do with acting, apart from appearing at some plays at my church. I have not taken acting classes nor anything related to it. Although I had a play on fifth grade, I still wasn’t selected to be IN it– I was only on the choir. Nevertheless, I still try my best to pursue my dream. I walk around my house, making up different scenarios, imagining as if many people are watching me. I even make up my own dialogue! Sometimes, I even try to pretend I’m one of the actors on the shows that I watch– of course, Disney Channel being one of those shows. Now, as I mentioned, I have not participated in anything like this before, but, IF I’m given this amazing opportunity, it would honestly go beyond everything I’ve dreamed of. Being part of Disney would be such an amazing honor, something I would never forget. In my opinion I can be pretty good at acting. At first I may be shy because of my lack of acting in front of people, but once I get the hang of it, I could say I’m pretty good at it. I can’t actually say I’m the perfect actress or the best you’ll find because, to be frank, I’m far from being the best actress nor the perfect. I think I’m still in the process of developing my actress skills and perfecting what I do know up until now.Now, this is a really important detail. Like I previously said, I’m from Puerto Rico, meaning my first and official language is Spanish. I”m good at writing and reading English but when it comes to the speaking part I can have just a bit of a problem. I can speak it and actually have a conversation with someone, but I am 99.9% percent I could make too many mistakes for anyone’s liking when I’m around people who actually speak such language fluently. It’s obviously my mind playing sick games but I can’t never control it. After a while, maybe four to six days, I may have stopped stumbling on my words. But it all really depends on how confident I feel in my surroundings.Well, I think that’s all. Once again, I’m Tanisha, I’m 14 years old, nearly fifteen, and I’m from Puerto Rico!
