Kids Casting Call for Movie – New York City, NY

Three-time Academy Award nominee Edward Norton is directing and starring in the upcoming film “Motherless Brooklyn”. The screenplay has been adapted from the Jonathan Lethem novel. This is an exciting opportunity because the movie is looking for kids and teens. A casting call has been put out for boys and girls ages 9 through 13 years old. In the scene, children will be playing hopscotch. It will be set in the 1950’s. Filming is scheduled to take place on February 5th and February 6th in New York City. Because of where the shoot is taking place, this kid’s acting audition is for those in the tri-state area. Boys may need to receive a 1950’s style hair cut by the production team so they must be okay with this. In addition, they may be asked to throw a football around. Girls may be asked to jump like hopscotch. This job will pay the union background rate of $166.00 for 8 hours. Check out the movie audition for kids below. About Motherless Brooklyn

Set in New York in 1954, a time of great change in the city. What They Are Looking For

GWCI is seeking SAG-AFTRA and NON-UNION African American Boys & Girls ages 9-13 to portray 1950’s NYC Boys Playing Football and Girls Playing Hopscotch for the film MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN. Exterior Winter 1950’s scenes.

Tentative shoot dates are 2/5 and 2/6 (exterior, shoots in NYC area).
Fitting 1/22 or 1/23.

Pays the SAG BG rate of $166/8hrs
No wool allergies, no braces, and TRI STATE AREA locals only. Must have valid work permit and trust account.
Boys must be comfortable receiving a 1950’s hair cut.
