Kat LeighHey! My name’s Kat, I’m 14, and I’m a singer and hopefully an upcoming actress if this goes the way I hope it does! Well I’ve been wanting to act ever since I was about 8 and I made this rediculous video on YouTube of me calling myself “Bobshka”. It was horrific. It was a huge red lipstick, terrible excuse for a fake Boston accent, mess. But since I realized that’s exactly what “Kat” isn’t, (Kat being me) I could make myself be whatever character I wanted to be. That’s the same way I look at singing. If I can’t relate to a certain song that I need to sing, I can pretend that I can and be someone that connects with it for those two minutes I’m singing. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve done all kinds of stupid quirky skits for my family and put on shows that I had to be some crazy character. I love being able to turn whatever character I’m playing into something even better than I had planned it to be, and I would love to see what I could do with Cleo. Keeping her the nerdy, seems sorta clumsy outsider she sounds like she is but also having fun with it. And not for nothing, but in preschool, I played a pretty mean Virgin Mary. Yeah, catholic schools are definitely prime for kids that want to act. But aside from catholic preschool plays and old, embarrassing, haunting YouTube videos, I would love to play the part of Cleo.
