Aylah MendenhallMr. Perry, Tonight I was just watching your stage play, A Madea’s Christmas and I was watching the part that showed the bloopers and a little bit of backstage and the rehearsals and it looked like so much fun. Whenever I watch any of your work whether it’s a play, movie, or a show I always have fun and you leave me wanting more. My little brother and I are HUGE fans of you and your work. We are not rich at all, as far as material things (not that it matters). Right now we are trying to figure out how to pay rent and get gas and food. So sometimes I turn on one of your shows and listen to the nuggets of advice you give and I remember “but God”. I am only 13 but most people think I’m older, but I’m not and I don’t understand everything that is going on but I do know that God is going to work it out. I’m an aspiring actress, singer, and dancer. I enjoy musical theater, TV, and movies. I haven’t been in any major movies… YET… But if I do anything with filming it’s usually for my school plays or a project with my friends. I’ve always wanted to work with you because I love that you give God in all your shows no matter what audience you have. I believe it’s important to spread the love and bless other people as God has blessed us, that is another reason I would love working with you. Interestingly enough, my family and friends have spoken into my life on many occasions, telling me that they could see me working for you because our personalities are so much alike and as a comedienne, much of what you have said on screen is actually stuff I have writing in my comedy notebook. Ill show it to you once I get on set….Choose Me! As I’ve watched and listened to you over the years, it amazes me how similar our past experiences are and to see where you started and where God has brought you….what a testimony.In my “career” if you want to call it that, I’ve only had, say…maybe 45 jobs over the course of the past 22 years, and I so remember you saying at the end of one of your movies, that someone once said to you that “you never finish anything you start.” How ironic that I would hear the exact same words some 15 years ago. It was insulting and degrading (especially considering I was trying to find my way) but what those comments made me do was to take an introspective look at self and ask, why was that the case and the answer was simply. I came to the conclusion that, I was not cut out for Corporate America and they were not cut out for me.I’ve known since I was a little girl around the age of 10 that I loved the arts and entertainment, but who was I to think that I could so something so big? Who was that I might “dare to dream”, but thankfully, I never stopped. As I battled from depression, poor body image, low self esteem, rejection and feelings or worthlessness, I shrunk back, settling in all aspects of my life. But praise be to God, I’ve held fast to the scripture Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord! I believe a part of Gods plan is to work with Tyler Perry Studios! Choose Me!That said, I took the leap of faith and resigned my corporate position on July 31st and I am not looking back. Can you see my toes wiggling in my shoes! Eyes Free!I said all that to say, he time and season has come for me to rise up and live the life I’ve been called to, to live on purpose, to live passionately, to live without apologies. Asia PerryMy name is Asia Perry, I’m 24 years old, and I live in the great city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I’m a definitely a songbird and want to make a career of voice. I’m exploring different avenues to get some exposure and I believe this audition would be the perfect opportunity for me. I recently auditioned for American Idol in Long Island, New York, but was turned away from the competition. Judges say my voice was strong but they weren’t looking for a jazzy/ soulful type voice for his season…whatever that’s supposed to mean. Since then, and greater fire has been lit inside of me. I believe my voice was meant for something much greater, and I will take advantage of every opportunity afforded to me. All my life, my family and peers have encouraged me to compete, but I never felt like I was good enough. BUT I AM READY AND WORTHY. I have much work to do, but with no vocal training whatsoever, my voice has come a very long way and I’m proud of myself. Please give me a chance. I have so much to prove and I just want to share my story and my voice with the world…because I’m not scared anymore. I have so much to sing about. God has something GREAT in store for me. Annie DavisI have 4 year old twin girls that are absolutely beautiful and are full of personality. They have no experience but they are extremely smart and catch on quickly to anything they are taught. They just began Pre-K and are always excited to go to school and learn new things. They are not shy, and they will say and do things you tell them. For example, I have them repeat funny sayings and record the videos for social media sites. I would love to get them in some kind of acting careers because I know they would do a great job. They have the face and they have the ability to learn.
