NyiaHi there my name is Nyia. I guess I’m like everyone else here and is going to leave the same information. It’s cool I’m fine with it. I’m 12 years old fortunately I get all the time that I look older. I’m currently 5’3 which still classifies me as short at my school. So why should I be considered for this? I’ve asked myself the same question over and over again in the mirror. I mean really why should you even read this comment? In all honesty I’m less experienced then some of these other kids leaving comments and they all seem to want it as bad as me. So why? Here’s my answer because I need it. And I know what you’re thinking no you need food, air, and water, but honestly I need this. Ever since I could remember I wanted to be an actress. Of course I was and am still young and my opinions and desires will always change, but this is the one thing in my life that hasn’t. My passion to act. It’s kind of the only stable thing in my life. Whatever I’ve been through at the end of the day I would still want to act. And everyday in this harsh reality is fine with me as long as I know I can go in the mirror at the end of the day and cry or laugh on command. As long as I can act. I’ve never been shy I mean anyone you ask that I know would tell you that. I love Debate and right now there are two major loves in my life. Writing and reading. As nerdy as it sounds I love to write and read. Anything and everything. So that’s why you should consider me for the show. Not because I want it or because I want the fame and fortune. I once got to play a roll for Christmas . My character was a selfish brat that wanted everything for Christmas and kept going on about the presents she wanted and the ones she didn’t want . Then I got a roll for a princess that was very caring always put others in before she put herself in . In 4th grade I started watching a lot of channels and I would see actors in disney act the way their characters personalities were. It got me thinking I really would like to be part of something like that . Movies would start coming out and when I would go watch them I would think of myself playing one of the parts , and when I arrived home I would play trailers and start repeating what the actors would say. I know you guys probably hear from everyone that acting is their dream and so that is why you should give them a role on the show. You probably get sick and tired of filing through all those applications and responses which is why I’m not going to say that I should land a role because acting is my dream. While it is my dream I don’t believe that that’s a good enough reason. So the main reason I think that you’d be grateful to have chosen me to be a part of this cast is that no matter what I will work my butt off in order to do what the director wants. I’ve played sports all my life so I know what it’s like to be part of a team and follow the orders of the coach, and to collaborate and thus I have great people skills (living with 3 siblings helps with that too!). I’ve also been a part of plays for as long as I can remember, my favourite genre would be comedy (I often take the role of a class clown in school ;-D). I did stand up comedy at my schools talent show in grade 8 and even though I poked fun at some of the teachers and students I still had everyone laughing so hard. Now that I’m in high school I’ve been part of the plays in the school and have even sung in front of the school at assemblies. While I remain a part of clubs and teams at my school, and do the morning announcements, I’ve managed to get honours each year and the highest average in my grade, (which surprises my teachers as I am still the class clown). What I’m trying to say is that if you pick me you will get a well rounded actress, with great people skills, that is efficient and proactive (I’m able to memorize 100 lines in under 30 min). Even though I’ve only been in one school play, I’m considering (and saving up for) auditioning for a musical in the spring. Some of my hobbies are being with my friends, writing, reading, seeing musicals, and sketching. I may sound like an introvert, but I get used to people pretty quickly 😉 If I do get an audition, please note that I am nervous in all auditions, and that is actually the hardest part for me. I was actually home sick with my mom. My mom defended me and said to the principle “how. Could Cliff do this?! He is right here with me.
