I have an average build, but I used to be much cut and in shape. I can gain or lose weight easily, so changing my physical appearance is easy for me. I have short (sometimes buzzed) Auburn Hair and Brown Eyes. To get the chance to audition for a role in a big movie such as “How To Catch A Monster” would be a dream come true. I acted in middle school and was involved in an after school acting club in high school. I was told by teachers and friends I was really good at acting and that I should consider pursuing it in the future. I’ve always loved acting and it has been a dream of mine to become an actor. Unfortunately, I was never able to pursue that dream because of different obstacles along the way. When I graduated from high school, I went to college right away from Criminal Justice. While going to college, I had to work full-time because my family struggled and we didn’t have the money for me to pursue acting. While in college I applied for a job with the US Border Patrol. Before graduating, I was offered the job and accepted. I trained in Artesia, NM, and worked in Nogales, AZ. After working with the Border Patrol for about 5 months, I was faced with a tough decision… Either continue to work down south, or return home to care for my sick grandfather. Growing up, I didn’t have a father, and my mother lived above my grandparents. So basically, I was raised by my grandparents and mother together. My grandmother was my best friend and unfortunately in 2004 she passed away suddenly. After her passing, my grandfather and I became very close and had a bond we never had prior. So after already losing my grandmother, I couldn’t stand thinking about losing my grandfather, especially while being across the country. So I decided to resign from the Border Patrol and come home to take care of my grandfather. Luckily, he improved and is still with us. However, he still needs care. I’ve been caring for him since being back home, but recently we hired a home nurse to help with his care. Caring for him prevented me from being able to work, which made my financial situation very tight. So now, after hiring the nurse, I’m able to work. I’m looking for local work currently, but still have my dream of becoming an actor. While searching for jobs, I decided to look for some local casting calls and auditions to see if there was anything I’d be able to audition for. While looking, I came across http://www.castingcallhub.com. After reading some of the different posts, seeing that there is a casting call for “How To Catch A Monster” is unbelievable. Knowing there’s a chance to audition for a role in such a big movie is surreal. Having the dream of becoming an actor, finally being able to pursue acting, and having a chance to be a part of this movie is just PERFECT! I know there are probably going to be tons of people auditioning for a role in “How To Catch A Monster,” and I know a lot of them are probably going to be more qualified that I am for an acting position. However, I don’t think there are going to be many people auditioning who have the drive, passion, and desire I have for becoming an actor. The things I have been through in my life and the struggles I’ve fought through have made me such a strong person inside, and have given me a genuine appreciation for the good things that happen in my life. Getting a chance to audition for a role in “How To Catch A Monster” would not only be a dream come true, but it would also be a chance to prove to myself that I am capable of achieving my dreams. This chance would not only benefit me, but it would also benefit the other cast members and the crew. I’m a very easy going person, very easy to get along with, and have a great sense of humor. I would bring a lot of fun to the set and would give my very best each and every day. Plus, I truly believe everyone involved would confidently be able to say they picked the best man for the job.
