Henry V Theatre Actors

Auditions for Theatre Production

Are you searching for a theater acting job? There is a new casting call for you! The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company will hold auditions for open roles in its summer production of Henry V. Please note that the role of Henry will be cast with an AEA guest artist, and some members of Pigeon Creek’s repertory company will also participate in the production. Michigan auditions are being held on Saturday, April 22nd. These are paid roles.  Apply to the casting call if you are interested in being considered.

About the Company

The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company’s performance philosophy is based primarily on the original staging practices of acting companies from Shakespeare’s own period. The use of original staging practices is a recent movement in the production of Shakespeare’s plays, a movement with such proponents as the American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, Virginia.

What They Are Looking For

Actors who have not previously worked with Pigeon Creek, or who have not been in a production in the past two years, should prepare a 12-15 line monologue from Shakespeare or one of his contemporaries. If you have a resume and headshot (or clear, full-face photo), please bring these items to the audition.

Performances of Henry V will be June 15-18 and 23-25. Rehearsals will begin May 22. This production is directed by Francis and Angela Boyle. Actors with Pigeon Creek receive paid stipends and gas allowances to help with travel to rehearsal.

How to Apply

Actors who would like to be considered should email starksae@gmail.com. Include your full name, phone number and resume if you have one.
