Vasiliki LiouliasMy name is Vasiliki Lioulias (call me Vas [pronounced vah-ss]), I’m a girl, 14 years old (why say young when I can state the obvious, I’m growing not shrinking. Oh look, a pun!), and can fluently speak two languages (Greek and English). I don’t know if that makes me more interesting or anything but let me just state some basic facts about me. And I’d kindly advise you to hold on tight because I’m gonna wow you out of your seats with all my acting experiences. Just kidding, I’m an amateur. Well not a total amateur actually. I played “the Coroner” and “Munchkin #4” in my elementary school’s musical theater program’s adaptation of the Wizard of Oz. I had five lines total, four being me singing for three seconds in an itchy hat and robe with a scroll that gave me a paper cut that scarred about how the wicked witch is dead. Round of applause to the girl in the neon stockings! The next production we did was Alice in Wonderland. In this musical, I actually was blessed to play the parts of Dinah and the Cheshire Cat. Even to this day, I remember the chorus to my solo song… I was told I did great on stage, but nonetheless, I was a second grader in a Lakers colored onsie with a tail and ears with these nerdy glasses (too young for contacts) voice-cracking on stage from the anxiety of performing in front of people. Bored yet? It gets better. Stay with me. I promise you it won’t be another boring mini essay about how “I totally deserve this spot like totes because it would change my life.” It’s up to you to choose me if you want me to audition for you or not. It would mean the world to me if I got a part, but honestly, you guys are the bosses, and I’m okay if you’re like: whoa she’s so weird let’s pick Dove Cameron instead and have Cameron Boyce play one of the guys. Let me continue on this tirade of why you should just give me a chance. I’m not begging for a part, just a chance. Let’s rewind to 2010 (I think). Third grade. Hairspray the Musical, total failure of mine. We had about ten Tracy Turnblad’s and all the boys quit so the girls dressed like Elvis and pretended to be Link. In my speaking part as 1/10 of the Tracies, as I was performing, I froze. Think of Frozone from the Incredibles freezing you and now you’re an ice sculpture. That’s how bad my anxiety was. I almost passed out. But I learned from that mistake and found my focus point now, what keeps me centered, calm, and not totally and utterly panicking. This Thursday, I have my talent show auditions. It’s tough, especially when other girls like me have voices that can be compared to Aretha Franklin or Amy Winehouse or even Ellie Goulding and in my honest opinion, if a potato could sing, I sound like it. And to make matters worse, my friends convinced me to sing “At Last” by the queen herself, Etta James (may she rest in peace). I have acted in different ways over the years once I quit musical theater (the new teacher was inadequate). To get my friends out of idiotic situations, to do lame skits on some random medieval war, lying about how I’ve done my homework (I’m smart, I just like watching my Teen Wolf episodes first okay. Dumb move, but I usually just have Algebra. I’m in honors Algebra, ithe homework stinks.) Just give me a shot, and I’ll strive for the most perfect I can be, and if I disappoint you, my deepest most sincere apologies. This really isn’t just about me wanting to hit it big. Acting is my secret passion, and even though I chicken out at times and have quit at it for a few years, what better way to revamp myself? Acting has always been a passion of mine and when I heard about this casting call I didn’t even have words for how I felt. I believe I could be a huge asset to this show, I have gone through a lot of hardship in my life, I lost my mom when I was twelve. This in turn lets me use true emotion to fortify a scene. I have acted in a lot of short films, and I have even went to film and acting camp. I really love the idea behind this show and believe me when I tell you I know what I am doing I just need my shot to prove it. I have a great deal of knowledge in spfx, and makeup. I would also be interested in just working on set as a gaffer, boom operator or even just being allowed to watch and learn. I am not looking to be paid for my time. I just want experience. I just want my chance to prove to the world I am a somebody and if you are an agent reading this just hear me out. Give me the chance to prove everyone wrong, let the director read this. Talia LangeI am one of 5 kids from a father who is one of ten kids. I am in the middle of 2 sets of twins and I love acting, Being in a big family you have to do a lot to get attention. My dad is a professional boxer and has done some acting himself, he has played in a few moveis like the house that jack built. He has also done many documentaries and starred in the contender ( a boxing show). I would like to somewhat follow in my dad’s footsteps. It is very hard for me to explain my love for acting. I don’t just want to become an actor for the fame or attention I want to inspire and be a rolemodle to others, like many Disney channel stars did for me.
