I would Love to just have the opportunity to audition for this new production because… #1- It is right up my alley (Ever since I was young [or younger than 16 I should say] I have always dreamed of a genie coming out of a bottle and granting me wishes that I could never possibly get somehow. I have watched all of the “I Dream of Jeanie” series over and over and over again…Same goes with “Aladdin” one of my all time favorite Disney movies and even keep one childhood book “Be A GENIE IN SIX EASY STEPS” close by my bedside. #2- I have an incredibly huge desire to become an actress!! Ever since I was young…No I started that off wrong…In the past 2-3 years I have gone through many changes in discovering my identity and trying to figure out the right path for me. I’ve always written songs since I was about 13 but had not really thought of acting in those years. A Big fan of actors and actresses in the galore of movies I watch, but didn’t really picture myself in them just yet. But one day my friend asked me if I wanted to try out for a school musical “The Sound of Music” saying it would be a lot of fun, and I took her up on it and auditioned. Though I was nervous on stage reading parts of the script, I had this strange yet exciting feeling I’d never felt before. I ended up getting one of the lead roles (Elsa) and really became her and her character on stage. I received many compliments and “You were great!”, which anyone would love but I think they and that play gave me the confidence I needed to come out of my shell. So I thank them for that. Now I’m not saying I’m suddenly the greatest actress in the world, but I do believe I am a natural actress, and that side of me has been eager to jump up on stage or become a character in a movie or scene since I first came into this world. (not to sound corny) It has just been hidden and now it IS definitely ready to come out!! Its always been a dream of mine to inspire and just give people the chills just from them watching me on their TVs but of course with every dream their is a highway of obstacles that you must get passed in order to reach your destination. I never had the proper support system being on my own since I was 13 but I have this feeling deep in my soul that I know I will make it and I refuse to give up. Another reason for me wanting to be an Actor is to show people even though your not from a country like Los Angeles or New York or other places where Acting is huge, don’t give up not until you have given your absolute best shot at it.
