Go On – NBC Casting Calls

One of the hottest and most critically acclaimed network comedies to debut this fall is hitting it’s creative stride and NBC has just ordered more episodes of the fun. Go On, starring one of television’s favorite ‘Friends’ Matthew Perry, is casting now for all new installments of his latest unforgettable show. Submissions for auditions for a number of supporting roles are being accepted now. This is your chance to make your big break in one of the year’s truly great series.

Go On stars Perry as sports talk radio personality Ryan King, a fun loving guy who had it all until the unfortunate death of his wife. When Ryan realizes that his emotional recovery os not going as smooth as he thought his station assigns him to a series of group therapy sessions featuring some of the zaniest and most well written characters on TV. Each week Ryan moves closer to healing himself and his fellow group members while millions of loyal viewers watch their unforgettably hilarious adventures. In addition to the superb Perry (Friends, Fools Rush In) the producers of Go On have assembled one of the strongest lineups in comedy today with such featured players as Brett Gelman (The Other Guys, A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas), Laura Benanti (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Take the Lead), John Cho (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Star Trek), Julie White (Transformers, Michael Clayton), Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris, Let It Shine), Allison Miller (Terra Nova, 17 Again) and Seth Morris (Step Brothers, No Strings Attached).     My name is Joey O’Hare and a senior at Auburn University. I was born in Atlanta, but I do not have any kind of accent. I am 21 years old, slim, 5’8″ and have red hair. I look considerably younger than my age. My father is an engineer living in Qatar/U.A.E, so I have grown up abroad and spent many years overseas. I am all sorts of sarcastic and have found myself always being overdramatic just to pull laughs. My favorite form of comedy stems from Robin William’s incredible use of references. I’ve been told by many that I can be highly entertaining for improvising dramatic responses with very relevant pop-cultural content (new and old).

    I’ve been an immense fan of Brett Gelman and Matthew Perry for a long time, from ‘Friends’ to ‘Serving Sara’. Brett Gelman brings a perfect combination of “subtle” adult comedy to ‘Go on’. We now have the time to do some of the things we always said we wanted to do once we moved to California over 20 years ago. I don’t want to waste this talent, I am very well rounded with humor. I can do most any part, I can do voice impressions as well , ranging from a southern “hillybilly” man, to a chinese lady, to having a slur, to the movie “Sling Blade” as the guy thats the lead role of the movie. I can do impressions of my family and friends as well because its also very easy for me to pick up on anybody! Along with that, I am very quick witted, what ever the conversation I always have something gut rolling funny to say to accomodate conversation . I am near where Dana Carvey was raised in Missoula Montana, apparently its something in the water…..and no Montana isn’t just farmers and I’m not just another cow trying to make it out there, although I may look like one I assure you I am not! I am one to prank people using the gift of my voices, its quite hilarious to prank anyone at any given time. I just feel I am perfect for what the show is looking for and wanting the chance to prove myself. You know its good when strangers find themselves laughing histerically and when they tell you, to please stop because their face hurts from laughing, and their stomach hurts so bad, along with accidental farting or wetting themselves, well thats the sort of thing I offer daily!     This is a great website! I have always wanted to be an actress, but it seems like you have to have a lot of money to get started. Acting is my dream. I have had multiple retail jobs and daycare jobs, but I can never keep those jobs. All I want to do is act. In my free time all I do is day dream about becoming an actress. When I watch tv I will end up taking note on what an actor is doing and thinking about how I can use that as a tip in my future career. I have to rewind the show multiple times if I want to understand what is going on because I zone out and think about having my dream job. Its all I want to do.
    I know everyone has to start somewhere. I would gladly be in a show for 5 minutes, or I would be happy being the lead role. Obviously, I would be ecstatic to be a lead in any show! I do not having any professional acting experience, unless you want to count the school plays I was in during elementary school!
