I decided to buy the boxset of the first season as a present for a family member a few years back. I wasn’t familiar with it, but I had heard all of the buzz and so thought “why not? I’m sure he’ll love it!”. However, when it was still sitting gathering dust in its cellofane wrapping quite some time later I made the decision to give it a go myself. By the end of the first series I was completely hooked. Nothing has ever inspired my will to act this much before; the willingness to be a part of something so great and to have the honour to work with the amazing team of people that helps to bring Westeros to life.As I have mentioned, I don’t have a great deal of acting experience, but I am willing to work as hard as possible to meet the high standards that you expect from your cast. Sonia PuriComing upon this page was not an accident, I believe it was my fate! I only started watching GOT two weeks ago and it has consumed my life entirely. Any spare min I had before or after work, I would be immersed in the fantasy world. In my head I was already part of the world and watching it was like having a front seat view to all the action. It only took me two weeks to finish 5 seasons and to wait till April 2016 seems like another life. When I came across this post, I couldn’t pass a chance to become part of it as an actor. It would be beyond any dream if it came true! The real life actors and the characters on show are worlds apart so I don’t think I would have a problem trasforming into anyone from any of the great world from the mind of the creators and the talented production. I’m also from Northern Ireland, where most of it is filmed and I am extremely proud to live in a country where a show of this calibre is being filmed. It’s brought so much positive attention to the country’s scenery and heritage, shown the world that Northern Ireland is a great country but most importantly, it’s given the actors and craftsmen in this country an opportunity to be part of such a fantastic production. There is so much talent here in this country, and to see it being given an opportunity to be shown to the world, is brilliant.I’ve had past experience with stage combat, and have taken part in numerous stage combat courses. I’m a keen runner and I’ve been doing kickboxing for the better part of 3 years now. I got an A at A level Drama and Theatre studies at school and recieved a Distinction level at HND Performing Arts. I’ve aslo been involved with a local theatre company and have taken after school classes. Willing to play any role at all – speaking, non-speaking, anything at all…even if it’s just for one episode.
