Fox’s Empire Seeking Rappers & Teens

Casting Call for Beat Boxing Teens & Rappers in Chicago

More roles have been releases for the new season of the Fox hit series “Empire”. The show is set to begin filming its third season next month and casting directors are looking for rappers and teens who can beat box in Chicago. Casting directors are now accepting submissions from beat boxing teens who are 14 to 18 years old and African American male rappers who are in their late 20’s through their 40s. The roles will be filming in July.

About “Empire”

Lucious Lyon, played by Terrence Howard, is the king of hip-hop. An immensely talented artist, the CEO of Empire Entertainment and a former street thug, his reign has been unchallenged for years. But, after battling what he believed to be a terminal disease, Lucious challenged his sons to compete for his throne, a task made all the more complicated by the return of their mother and Lucious’ ex-wife, Cookie, played by Taraji P. Henson, who was released from prison.

What They Are Looking For

The casting team from Simon Casting is now seeking to fill the roles of two 14 to 18 year old beat boxing teens and African American rappers in their late twenties to forties. These roles are set to film from July 7th through July 18th. Actors must be Illinois residents and must be available for all of the filming dates. The rappers film dates is TBD.

Illinois residents/ local to the Chicago area

Beat Boxing Teens: African American,14yrs – 18yrs. Must be proficient at beatboxing and/or rapping.

Available for the Shoot Dates: 7/7/16 – 7/18/16

MALE RAPPER: African American, Late 20’s-40’s, tough, raps murder beats. Must be an experienced rapper.
