Divergent – Movie Casting Calls

With the amazing successes of such young adult novel film adaptations as The Hunger Games, Twilight and Harry Potter, movie studios around the world are looking for the next great material to turn into blockbuster movies and Summit Entertainment believes they have found the next sensation. Divergent the first novel in author Veronica Roth’s best selling trilogy is set to begin filming soon and producers and casting directors are looking for several up and coming actors to round out it’s exciting and talent packed cast. Performers of all ages can apply today for their chance at a role in what could be the next worldwide film phenomenon.

Divergent is set in a dark, futuristic Chicago where society is split into five factions that are focused on the of particular human virtues – Erudite (the intelligent), Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave) and Amity (the peaceful). When each citizen turns sixteen years old they must decide which faction they will choose to pursue for the rest of their lives and this is where we meet the story’s heroine Beatrice Prior, on the precipice of the most important decision of her life. Will Beatrice choose stay with her family? Will she choose the faction that is true to herself? And what will the ramifications of her decision be? All of these questions and more will be answered as one of the most well defined female characters of a generation embarks on the adventure of lifetime and finds, romance, friendship and self discovery along the way. Divergent will be led by gifted director Neil Burger who’s last feature Limitless starring Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper and Hollywood legend Robert Deniro opened to critical praise and earned an impressive $162 million at worldwide box offices. The producers have recruited some magnificent stars for a few principle roles so far including Golden Globe nominee Shailene Woodley (The Descendants, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Secret Life of the American Teenager), Academy Award winner Kate Winslet (Titanic, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Finding Neverland) and rising star Luke Kleintank (Gossip Girl, Bones, Haunted). I have seen caching fire and hunger games and i think they are ok but compared to this it has nothing on this.But if I don’t get this part or role or just being an extra I know the movie will be grate and a little more exciting.I just want to be apart of something I wanted to be a star or be in the movie.I know it’s every kids dream but nothing compared to mine .

    I accidentally stumbled across this book in my library and added it to my stack to read. I left it til last to read because it looked the least appealing to me, how wrong was I! After reading it I was left wanting more and I decided I couldn’t wait any longer, so I was searching for anything extra on the internet when I found this page. I thought, ‘Whats the worst that can happen?’ and that’s why I am commenting.     I know a lot of people say that theyd be ABSOLUTELY perfect for this role, but we all know that isnt even half true. (except for the actually perfect ones) I know I’m probably not going to be the right one for these roles, but I’ve got to try, right? This book was recommended to me by many, and by being in the movie will wow them. I’m not a professional actor as many people who audition may be. My life is not perfect, I’ve been through more than most 12 year olds have. But I keep my head up and hope for the best. Thank you.

    I have taken acting classes since I was five years old and have been in many different plays throughout my life. Now, starting out, I never get any major roles, just small parts, such as extra or narrator. But as I got older, I have worked and worked and worked to get the roles I had wanted. I got my first major role in seventh grade.

    About me, I am a senior in high school. I will be graduating in May 2014. I have a very bubbly personality, but I can be very serious and moody at times. I’m always smiling and having fun as much as I can. The thing I love most about acting is you get to be someone else. You get to portray a different character that’s completely different , or similar, to yourself.

    I have just now recently finished the book and I have to say, it is one of the best books I’ve ever read in my life. I could read over and over and never get bored of it. But, to be inside the story itself would be one of my wildest dreams come true

I don’t get picked as the best student even when i try my hardest. I love to sing and I have taken lessons to improve my vocal range. Whenever i step onto a stage I get a rush of adrenalin and pour my heart out. I love acting and it’s the only thing I’v ever been really good at. I don’t like to be called an actress because it makes me feel less than I am. I’m really weird and being an actor gives me a chance to connect with different personalities that aren’t in my every day life. Living in Colorado, climbing, rafting, cycling, and hiking have instilled an adventurous spirit within me. I find that my personality is incredibly like that to Tris, or Beatrice Prior. As I read the books, I almost find myself thinking of a personal narrative. I have always dreamed of the day I would act for my favorite book. I realize that it might be a bit late to submit this form, but no one got anywhere without trying.
