Allison Hayley WoodardHi, My talent isn’t something you would expect. I can’t sing, I can dance (but that’s not my major talent), and I can act (also not my major talent). What I can do is sign language. For talent shows I pick one of my favorite songs, make a dance, and add sign language. My most recent performance was glee’s loser like me. This year for my school talent show I’ll be doing sign language to an original song. That’s right, I write, too. Anyway, before I get too braggy, I would like to explain why this is my talent. Like I said earlier, I can’t sing. But this way I can get my opinion out without hurting someone’s ears. I do think sign language is a talent. It’s just as tricky as singing in a different language. ChrystalMy name is Chrystal Marshall, and I am a resident in Dallas, Texas. I am a dancer, singer and actress, I have done productions for the Black Academy of Arts and Letters, and Happy Nia which was choreographed by Derrick Whiturs, once under the direction of Alex Haley Dance Company in Chicago. I have been trained in dance and acting since age of 5. I was also recently selected for the Debbie Allen Summer program here in Dallas. I am a strong academic student which is very important to me. I am an A honor student, on the debate team, member of the performing arts program, a track member, and a drill team member for my school. I havealso had the experience of being in the Miss Texas Teen Pageant.I have such a passion of arts. I have received many comments after performances that they could feel every dancing step or monologue deep in their souls. I also love being a teenager, I love children, I want to enjoy every day. But I want to make a difference for this generation and those younger, that you can do whatever you want and to set your goals, and them work hard to obtain them. I had to defeat some obstacles when I was smaller, those telling me I could never be a dancer because I was this cute chubby little girl ( my moms description, LOL), but she always gave me confidence and allowed me to grow in what I had a passion for since a little girs. And as she always told me that baby fat would go away, that the acne would go away, and she was right. I am now physically fit, at 5’7 wearing size 9-10, and I feel good about myself.I would love this opportunity with Disney, such a credible organization, and I’ve been a fan my whole life time with the Disney shows. I believe already in life in living each day and loving those around you with all your heart, and making a difference, as my mom tells me I am mature for my age, I lost my father 5 years ago due to heart conditions, so life has given me a different perspective, but most definitely made me a strong yound lady.My personality draws people, and I am a leader but I am also a good follower, which is an important quality to have as a leader I think.
