Kayla MackenzieHi! My name is Kayla Mackenzie. I am 14 years old and I have a passion for acting! I’ve had a dream of becoming an actress for a while now. I’m an honor roll student. Education is a first for me, because I want to be successful in life. Acting is my dream, and I would love for that to come true. I couldn’t imagine being a main character on a Disney Channel Original TV series, or movie. I love to act, and any chance I’ve had in the past to create a role, I’ve taken it and I challenged myself to be the best I could be. In grade 6, a.k.a. 2010-2011, I auditioned for the role of Jasmine in the musical Aladdin Kids. Of course, it was a musical, and singing isn’t my strongest point, so I didn’t get that role but I still got a lead role, because of my acting. For my auditions all of my lines were memorized and the judges or whatever you call them, well in this case it would be you, were impressed. I played the role of Jafar, the evil villain. I memorized all my lines, and everyone elses in the first week of getting the script. Any chance I got to have extra help to become even better, I took in a heart beat. We performed four shows and I remember at the last show a women, who I didn’t know, came up to me and gave me a rose and told me I was amazing. It felt so amazing to feel appreciated for something I love to do. I’m a perfectionist, I’m not satisfied until it’s perfect, so I work at everything I do until I feel it meets the bar of expectation. This school year I will be going into grade 9 and I’m sure that I will be given more and more opportunities to audition for plays at my new school. Although, being a part of the Disney National Talent Search casting would be a dream come true. I’ve always had a little part of me that wanted to be an actress, but I thought I’d have a one in a million chance to make it. But watching all the Disney Channel Classics, I realized that I wanted to be just like them. Selena Gomez in particular made me realize that this could actually happen. She’s a multi- talented girl and all I want is to be like her. She’s my inspiration to become an actress, well, also to just become successful. I may not be the best at singing, but I’m a good actress, and a good dancer. I’m not shy, I’m comfortable in my own skin, but of course channeling new characters isn’t a challenge for me either. AnikaHi! I’m Anika and as for why I should even be considered for this, well that is because I spent the last hour looking for acting opportunities for 14 year old girls. I really want to act and I’ve decided to pursue it. I told my dad one day “I want to be an actress” and he told me the best place to start would be to look for audition opportunities online and now here I am… Sorta. I love to act. I knew that when I was like 7 years old. I’ve always been a really dramatic person( in a good way) and I’ve become involved in every drama related activity at my school! Now the ify part. I have close to no experience and also I live in Canada. So I know that this is a long shot, especially for me. But I’d really like to be even considered. Its always been a dream, of mine I’ve seen every episode of Good Luck Charlie, Shake it Up, and Jessie. I can take direction.
