Miranda ThibodeauHi, My name is Miranda Thibodeau and my dream is to become an actress. I have been in plays many times, but I do know that being in a movie or television series is very different. The reason I love acting is that when you are acting and you are playing a role, you are no longer you, you no longer have you life and past, you are the character you are playing, you have there life and past. You get to have a different like while acting, you get to be someone else, and there is almost always a happy ending. When you are acting it is not you people are judging it is your character, you don’t have to worry about people saying they don’t like you because they don’t know you, all they know and see is the character you are playing. All my life I have had an above average memory. When I was younger my mother would brag to everyone and have me say things backwards and quote people from movies to impress her friends, of course I absolutely loved it because I love movies and impressing people. Another thing I love about acting is that acting gives you opportunities to go different places and meet new people and try new things. I live in a small town in Maine and everyone always told me I would never make it, I would never be good enough and that there was no chance for me to achieve my dreams with where I live and what I look like. I am a little over weight but I have been losing weight and plan to keep losing weight. The one thing that I keep in mind when I think about losing weight is my future and hopefully an acting career. Tonight I talked with my mom and we actually sat down and really discussed my future in acting. My mother and I talked about how this is really what I want to do and that this is the only thing I truly love and can see myself doing. We are planning on getting head shots very soon and she told me that if this is really what I would like to do then she would bring me to New York for an audition. Her telling me that she would bring me to New York for an auditions blows me away and really shows me that she really supports and believes in me to do this. Just today we were talking about how we are struggling and don’t know what we are going to do. So for her to do this for me is out of this world. I have never been in a movie or commercial or TV show, but I do have experience in acting in plays. Ever since I was little I have loved acting, I would watch a TV show or movie and then act like one of the characters until bedtime. When people are at the age of four or five they want to become singers or princesses or fashion designers, but I have always wanted to be an actress, I have always wanted to make it far because I have seen how much my family have worked and struggled with money and I guess I would like to make it big to help them out so they aren’t so stressed out because it really hurts me to see the ones I love that way. Whenever I think about acting, I get this excited, overjoyed, and just beyond happy feeling. When I act I feel at home, I feel like I have finally found where I belong and I have found where I’m suppose to be and what I’m suppose to be doing, it is the only time where I feel truly happy. I have been bullied and felt unwanted because of some people in school, mostly because I’m overweight, but with acting I get to forget about that and I don’t have to worry about it. I guess the only way to describe it is that the only time I really feel confident and safe is when I am acting. After spending hours on the internet searching for open casting auditions in London, I stumbled upon some ‘inside the actors studio’ YouTube clips and after watching so many of them I felt this incredible flow of inspired, which made me want to pursue acting even more. I mean the things that people have been through and yet still they have strength to carry on, makes me think that it’s not going to be easy and handed to me on a platter , but I will never go down without trying my best and doing the most I can to realise my dream. When I was younger I used to spend hours in front of the TV watching movies and I think it was from a very young age I wanted to be an actress as I loved watching all these movies so much that I actually wanted to be a part of them. I’ve been trying to find myself, who I am, what I want to do and no matter which way I go around it I always bring myself back to acting. I am an extremely creative person and I am also interested in all the other essential aspects of film, as I believe a great movie or comedy sketch is a combination of good actors, but also screenwriters, directors and everyone else that works hard to bring emotions to the screen. Music and dance also play a big part in my life; to name a few I feel very motivated by people like Michael Jackson and Tupac, who I have listened to carefully and they have taught me a lot. I love acting so much and I understand there will be times when it’s not paying, but the fact that I love it so much will keep me going and difficulties will help me build a tough skin for what’s to come. Recently I have come to realise that what I want to do is more than just acting, but I feel that is where I have to start. I have faith that one day I can found my own production company as I am very much interested in all other aspects of film. I want to do this because I want to give back to society and provide opportunities for aspiring artists, just as you are providing this opportunity for me. I have written a script that is inspired by The Breakfast Club and I would love to continue script writing and acting as I want to make people around the world feel emotions they thought they could not freely express before, I want to inspire young people and make them feel like they belong through my scripts and acting. If anyone does, then I would like to tell you why I feel I should be considered for a part in the movie; may it be minor, major, or a simple extra. My name is Meredith Fuller. I turned fourteen this past October, and I have always had the iconic “movie star” ambition, even from a young age. I took ballet from age three till five, as well as gymnastics off and on from about age five until ten. I consider myself a “dancer” in the sense that I can improvise when needed in specific scenes, and I have almost made up my own form of dance that mixes ballet, jazz, hip hop, and Irish step dancing that I often mess with at home and with friends. I have been singing since around my fourth birthday; enrolling in a musical production of Cinderella. I was an elf, a minor character not seen in the Disney movie, and the classic book. We, the elves, acted as the iconic clock that would tick, warning Cinderella of her time left. I recall we even sang a song. Later on, I was chosen for a select Honors choir, where my church music director selected myself and four others from my rather large youth chorus to join the other 200 singers from across the state of South Carolina. By this time, I had been in multiple plays such as The Jungle Book (I played Ka the snake) , The Legend of Sleepy Hollow( I had the main female lead of Martha), and various other engagements. I also took part in several school presentations; I sang “I have been changed for Good” from the play Wicked ( I was Elphaba), in a duet with a close friend for a Fall Festival. I also took part in a school chorus and two different church choirs. I play the Piano to some degree, and am learning the Guitar. I played the Violin for a number of years, yet gave it up before I became competent. I am about 5’2 or 5’3. My hair is a dark russet with soft natural waves. My eyes are hazel, with more green than brown. I have a curvy yet athletic figure, complete with muscles from my varsity swim team, runs, and vague karate training. I spend my free time writing songs, poetry, short stories, or my novel. I am a published poet in the “Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans”. I Like I said before, the changes are slim of someone actually reading this. Brianna CimagliaHey, this is not going to be another one of those long paragraphs explaining how I dreamt of becoming an actress since I first saw Harry Potter, or ooh good Twilight! No, it’s just simply how I would love to be a part of this film. I took 8 sessions in NYC a few years back so I have a little expierence I would say. But I would die if I could have a shot, Captain America was an amazing movie one of my favs and I know that I along with the other 98 pleading beggers could do a decent job in it! But you won’t know how decent or great I can be without a chance. I don’t care how big or small the role is but if I could have a chance to try out I would freak. My acting role model as one may say would probably James Dean. Yeah hes an acting legacy and hes good-looking but thats not why. Its the level of his simplicity of his work and the way he made every scene so real. When he had to walk he didn’t always walk like a soldier would the so called “normal” he walked with almost a skip, a game rather. Which most of us would walk like not just the uniformed left foot right foot left foot right..my point is acting these days is mostly what people think would happen in a perfect uniformed world. Nobody dares to put a twist on anything or make it realistic. Look I already wrote a paragraph, haha and to say I said I wouldn’t drag on! Well before I conclude this with the usual “please pick me I know I’m talented and I can do it if I had a shot” I’m just going to say that the acting business needs to end this era of choppy and fake acting and put a realistic twist on it.
