Allison BanksHi, my name is Allison Banks. I am 14 years old and going into the 10th grade. I am not the prettiest or thinnest girl in the world, I’m far from it. However, I have spent from grade 2 to the present in musicals and plays. I was Rapunzel in my middle school musical, ‘Mirror Image’, one of the lead roles in another middle school musical, ‘Romeo and Harriet’, as well as many other supporting/lead roles in elementary musicals. I currently live in Taipei, Taiwan and go to Taipei American School which has an excellent drama and performing arts system. (Casting me in anything will not interfere with me not living in the U.S, it would be like I still live in the U.S) My drama teacher continuously comments on my acting and says that I have great potential to become a great actress one day if I set my mind to it. I know that you cannot cast me right away, and that is why I am willing to show you that I can do it and I will grow as an actress as I get older. I’m not the prettiest or thinnest girl but I believe in myself and I have confidence in myself and I believe that I can do whatever I set my mind to because I love to act/sing and I was raised where if you want something bad enough then you have to go out there and get it yourself and you have to work for it, so I am willing to work for even the smallest role, because if I even get casted the smallest part, I would be so grateful. Thank you for reading! Have a great day! 0 Reply June 25, 2013

Krista HowardMy name is Krista Howard. I’m 15 years old. I’m biracial, mixed with black and white. I have beautiful long curly hair. I can pass for other races such as Latino, Dominican, black and Asian, Native American, etc. I’m 5″7. I’ve had a lot of opportunities come my way in the past but have not been able to take them. I’ve been told I have a cute face for television. I have a beautiful smile, and dimples to top it off. As a child I was very shy and outspoken. Music gave me a voice. I’ve been playing the flute for 6 years. I play the piano also. While others my age are with their friends I am at home practicing on my keyboard. Singing is my passion. Singing is what gave me my confidence. I’m currently taking voice lessons aside from school. I have a very bubbly personality. I’m quite a character. I bring out the positive in everyone. I love making people smile and laugh. I’m hilarious. If given a chance I can bring life and personality to a character. I’m very sweet, outgoing, and easy to work with. I take directions very well. I’ve also had dancing experience in the past. Acting, modeling, singing, and dancing have always been in my interest. Its been my dream ever since I was a kid. I just haven’t got the right opportunity yet. 0 Reply June 25, 2013

Shanlee Seiler-PorterHello, my name is Shanlee Seiler-Porter and I am interested in an open casting call for Disney Channel in or near Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am 13 years old, 5’7″ and 120 pounds. I am a very experienced actress; I am involved with one of the largest children’s theatres in the country (CTC, Minneapolis) and have been in multiple plays and training camps. Although my experience in performing is mostly theatre and stage, I have done multiple training camps on television performing. I am so invested in my acting career that I no longer attend a brick and mortar public school. I attend Connections Academy, an online school connected to Julliard’s performing program, so I can focus primarily on my acting career without missing out on my education. I can easily pass for a much older teenager and am often mistaken for one. I have done multiple Shakespearean plays, and have been taught by professionals difficult acting techniques, such as crying on command. I also have a very large background in voice and dancing lessons. I am very active; I play volleyball and run 2 miles 3 to 5 days a week, exercising every day. I wear glasses currently, but I have contacts if that would be necessary. I am also involved in charity work, such as donating what I can to the food bank and homeless shelters in my community. My family is middle-class, so unfortunately, I don’t have much extra money. I have a history of depression and anxiety, which I have gotten completely over, but I feel that I could be a wonderful role-model to young people with the same problems. My family is very invested in my acting career and takes me to auditions/camps/rehearsals/shows regularly, along with helps me find auditions and camps. I think that I would be perfect for this movie because I am very capable of diverse rolls. I would love to have the opportunity to audition for Disney, it would mean the world to me and my family. The opportunity in itself would mean the world to me, and having a place on Disney channel and being able to provide money for my family would make me extremely happy. Thank you for your time reading this, and feel free to email me back if you would like my résumé. 0 Reply June 25, 2013

It’s a dream every young girl goes through and I graduated high school in 2011 so I can still relate a lot to this situation. I’m in college and some love drama still happens around me and my friends. I can definitely express my feeling in front of a camera and be a part of this film. I love acting because I get to put myself in another characters shoes and take on a role that not only portrays someone else, but gives me insight on different roles of people. Therefore, This would be a very great opportunity for me. CaitlinI think that the movie, Building a Better Boy, will be an outstanding movie just like Let it Shine, Camp Rock, High School Musical, Wizards of Waverley Place: the movie, and Geek Charming. They were all movies that inspired you to just be yourself and were a reality/ humor all at once. I am a big fan of the movies that Paul Hoen has directed and I would love to be in Building a Better Boy because it definitely describes me and my best friend, how we want to find that perfect guy, but we have absolutely no idea how to talk to the opposite sex. Also, I have always loved acting, it’s where I find myself happy the most. 0 Reply June 24, 2013
Madeleine ConnHello, My name is Madeleine and I am a 12 year old female (13 in a few days) who would love the opportunity to have an audition for your new movie Building a Better Boy. Since I was 10 years old, when my Mother finally let me get Disney Channel on our television, I had always dreamed of staring on one of the Disney television programs. Even at almost 13 years old, I have to say Disney Channel is still my favourite channel. The shows and programs are so hilarious and never fail to crack me up. They have a huge variety of programs from cartoons like Phineas and Ferb, to Fiction such as Wizards of Waverly Place. I have always been an enthusiast of all of the arts. Especially acting. When I land a role in a play or musical, it allows me to feel and see what life is like from a different perspective. It is so amazing, like you are living a different life. It really helps you see the other side of things in different situations as well. In music (in this case singing) I never keep being enthusiastic to learn more and more each and every day. Some people grow up their whole lives singing, but feeling the music and connecting to it is completely different. For me, if I am feeling glum, or just having a hard day, singing always helps cheer me up. When you sing, you escape the modern reality and your voice creates a world of peace, and tranquility. The different tunes in the music change your mood and can really change how you feel. I am also a fan of instrumental music, and I play the clarinet. I also really enjoy to dance, and have taken a few lessons before, and I am starting acro dance and maybe ballet in the fall this year. But why should you chose me? There is probably hundreds to thousands of girls asking for an audition or a role in your new movie. First off in acting, I have been in several plays and musicals at my theatre arts day camp in the summer at Upper Canada College, as well as camps at Younge People’s Theatre in Toronto. I was also in my schools production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as an Oompa Loompa. This year, I also did musical theatre at Stage Door Academy. For singing, I was in the Canadian Children’s Opera Chorus starting at age 8. Unfortunately, over the years I have started getting a lot more homework and more projects so I had to quit. Soon, my Mother may be signing me up for vocal lessons with a vocal coach. In dance, I have done ballet and jazz. I did ballet at age 5, and jazz I did in musical theatre this year at the Sound Stage Academy. I also enjoy dancing in my spare time as well. Out of school, I do many activities including gymnastics at Toronto Priemer Gymnastics Club, skiing lessons at Mount St. Louie Moonstone with Snowhalks, musical theatre at Stage Door Academy, and my main sport is swimming which I just ended. I compete in provincial competitions all over Ontario and I am in the group P2 (provincial 2) with my swim club, NYAC (North York Aquatic Club). I hope to start in the ND group (National Development) so entire next year. I have been swimming all my life but I started getting serious at age 9 when my Mother started signing me up for competitive programs. My goals for the future are to get into an art based high school, preferably Rosedale School of the Arts, Cardinal Carter, or Wexford Collegiate. I also am trying my hardest in school to maintain a goal of 88% for my grade average. By my teachers, peers, and especially family I have been described as adventurous for my daring nature (as in trying new things such as foods and experiences), ambitious, for keeping goals, never giving up, and always giving my all no matter how hard the situation. Charismatic, for being a great leader, and enthusiastic. I am very easy to work with and I always keep others and their ideas in mind, I respect others and their opinions, and I am very dependable and you can always rely on me no matter what. I wanted to thank you so much for your time and for reading this and for your consideration. It would be an honor to be givin an audition. Thank you, Madeleine Conn artrox@bell.net (416)-518-8315 0 Reply June 24, 2013
Charlianne SmithI want to be considered for this movie because all of my life I have wanted to be an actress. When I was little I looked up to the people I watched on tv and have ever since, wanted to be one of them and have little girls look up to me. I never wanted to be just any actor, I wanted to be a Disney channel actress because I feel like if you star on Disney you have officially made it in your acting career. 0 Reply June 24, 2013

If my parents saw that you were considering me for the part, they would agree to let me fully audition. I hope you will consider me for a part in your movie. Thank you. 0 Reply June 24, 2013

Chandler VanWinkleName: Chandler Raye VanWinkle Age: 15 (16 in October) Grade: Sophomore in the fall Hair Color: Brown, wavy/curly Hair Length: Just past my shoulder blades Eye Color: Green Gender: Female Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5’1 Weight: 95 lbs (Petite) Personality: Bubbly, fun, always making my friends laugh, very intelligent, have an opinion on almost everything, very stylish (I’m told), I’m very big on equality of all kinds, I like to play soccer and baseball (I may be a little rusty), very outgoing. I was in my high school production of ‘Vanities’, all though it wasn’t very good because our cast wasn’t given as much attention as the other plays. But everyone kept telling me that I was the best one in the play, that I really had my lines and personality down. I also performed in our school’s talent show (singing). My friend and I did a duet, without the music and people were raving about it for the entire week.I am very confident that I would be great for any role that I can get my hands on. I’m very hardworking, especially at things I love. I love being dramatic or funny, I love being the center of attention. I love entertaining everyone. I was born to be the camera hog! Ever since I was little, that’s all I’ve wanted, the spotlight. I’m okay with being different and unique and weird and very quirky. I’ve watched Disney Channel and Nickelodeon ever since I can remember. I even watch it now as a mid-teenager. I find it comforting to be able to still get in touch with my inner child and get away from the stresses of being in high school. I love the concept of this movie, and I can totally relate to not being good with relationships. It sounds like fun and totally the role for me. Please consider me for an audition to this amazing opportunity. I mean, it would be amazing if you were the ones to give me my big break! I’d be super sure to include you in my acceptance speech for my very first award! Contact me anytime! Thank you so much!!! 0 Reply June 24, 2013
