Madeline HixonI should be considered for a role in the film, Building A Better Boy, because I am everything that makes up a Disney Channel star. First off, I have been in love with Disney since I was little, and now that I am 18, I still watch it all the time. I have acted in various musicals at my home theater such as The Music Man, Cinderella, Suessical and Oliver and enjoy taking on a role and changing who you are for a moment. It’s such an awesome escape where your reality is no longer your own. I think what makes me stand out is that I am a fashion design student. I don’t think Disney has really taken on any actors with that talent so far and I would love to be one of the first. Especially now that fashion has become such a big outlets for kids and teens these days to express themselves. Building a Better Boy just seems like a great opportunity to get a chance to work with Disney professionals and I think I could really sell it. I didn’t have a boyfriend until I was a junior in high school, so I definitely can relate to the main character’s dilemma. I also look young for my age so I could probably pass for 15-16 if necessary. I have ran two marathons so far with the help of SRLA, when I am 18 I’m hoping I’ll run the Disney World Marathon in Florida. I left eighth grade with the highest G.P.A (Valedictorian) and gave a speech during the ceremony. Yes I was pretty nervous at first, but five seconds later I imagined the audience in their underpants and was fine 😀 and I believe…I rocked it!!! 😀 I was also student body president, and it was an amazing opportunity to meet new people, and have confidence in your self. I was in leadership, and we organized several events including dances. 🙂 I was really interested in acting when I was in seventh grade, I had a drama class for three months before I moved, it was amazing! I have to admit, Macbeth was a great story, but it was a little hard to understand… once you get the concept though I’m sure you’ll love it 😀 !! I love reading especially series, my favorite is “The Giver Quartet” by Lois Lowry!!! The last book gave me such an impression, and I knew I defiantly wanted to become an actor, like Miley Cyrus, she led two lives 😀 !!! Also, I’m a hard worker and I’ve been told that I was fun to work it. This may be my last chance to play into a Disney Channel movie because I’m 16 and I ain’t getting any younger.
