Movie Casting Call for Extras

Do you want to work with Academy Award winning actors? Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman are teaming up with Academy Award nominate Lucas Hedges for a new movie. “Boy Erased” is a coming-of-age and coming-out drama and extras are now being cast. For some upcoming scenes, casting director are looking for adult and teen models and actors. They are searching for teens ages 16 to 18 for a lake party scene, men and women ages 18 – 60 to play staff, a real minister and an experienced church rock band. Filming will be in the Atlanta, Georgia area. This is a fabulous chance to get to work with some major A-list actors. Some roles will shoot for a full 12 days! About “Boy Erased”

A coming-of-age and coming-out drama from writer/director Joel Edgerton based on Boy Erased: A Memoir of Identity, Faith, and Family by Garrard Conley. Academy Award nominee Lucas Hedges (Manchester by the Sea) will star opposite Academy Award winners Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman. The movie will be produced by Anonymous Content and will begin production this fall for a 2018 theatrical release. Focus chairman Peter Kujawski made the announcement today. The film will tell the story of Jared (to be portrayed by Hedges), the son of a Baptist pastor in a small American town, who is outed to his parents (Kidman and Crowe) at age 19. Jared is quickly pressured into attending a gay conversion therapy program – or else be shunned by his family, friends, and church. It is within the program that Jared comes into conflict with its head therapist (Mr. Edgerton). [Focus Features]
