Stories like this grip you, but are of the few that aren’t always predictable (the ending can go multiple directions). I am anxious to find out how/if this friendship survives. Jack knightGrew up in the South End of Boston, attended South Boston High and “hung” in Southie for years. Bulger came on the scene around 1965 after he got out of prison. I was 19 and the Vietnam war was just heating up. Like many other kids in Southie, I ended up in the Marine Corps. When I came home in 1969 Whitie had already established himself as the “Man” in Southie. I was warned by my buddies not to mess with him. I pretty much stayed clear of him. I eventually moved from Southie but his exploits were well known by my friends. They would tell my some of the things that were going on in the town when we got together. The rest is history. I really enjoy movies that are made in Boston except for the fact that sometimes the actors just don’t get the accent right. For example , Martin Sheen did a terrible job in The Departed. Good actor but his Boston accent was embarrassing. YOU HAVE TO GET THE ACCENT RIGHT. I would love to have a part in this movie. Walk on or speaking, doesn’t matter. If I hear the accent being done wrong ill let someone know about it. I’ll coach themPro Bono. Kerry WhiteThis will be a terrific movie. Black Mass is one of my all time favorite books, and it paints such a realistic picture of life in Southie and Mass in general at that time. I would love to have the opportunity to work as an extra in the film, as I have been fascinated with the Whitey case and Mob stories in general. I am a 50 year old white female (5 ft 4″ and 115 pounds) and am of Irish descent. My parents grew up in Boston (Southie / Dorchester and dad from the North End) and my grandmother lived in the OCP (Old Colony Projects) when I was growing up. It was a rough neighborhood, but we were still allowed to play in the courtyard with the city kid neighbors, and my parents never missed bringing us into town for the St. Patricks day parade! John VolkerHi, I am very interested in playing a part in this movie. I have been in ‘sleepy Hollow’ the series with Tom Mison and Victor Garber. I was cast as a professor ‘principal’ during the shoot a fox show. And on the series ‘Under the dome’ on cbs and still being filmed and can’t say to much tell the show air’s. But I can say I so far have had 3 film scene’s in the show. I have always liked Johnny Deep, and is a great actor and enjoy his films and his style and how he can adapt to any character and make it seem so real…That is acting….!!!
