I think that true comedy is in the honesty of the situation. I’ve starred in various plays for my school and church. Mara CloadHey! I’m Mara, 13 year old girl. I am so serious about my acting. When you walk into my room, the walls are filled with acting posters and pictures I made myself… with the exception of a couple of Justin Bieber and One Direction posters! I have long blonde hair and green eyes. I am in the 7th grade. All I know is that I love acting so much, that I don’t typically go on social media sites with my free time. Instead, I read monologues in my room, practice my slate, or read scripts online and practice each role differently. Something else that I do, which became an unusual habit of mine, is when ever I watch a TV show, whenever someone says a line, I automatically visualize how that would look on a script. It’s so strange to me, and I don’t know why I do it. Like if a word is emphasized I’m like “Oh that was probably written in italic writing!” or “That must have been in bold lettering.” This would be a great opportunity for me in my acting career. I have been taking acting classes frequently and feel like I have improved greatly. I like taking videos of myself reading scripts and watching it afterwards to take notes about things I did good, and things I need to improve on.
