Alayna CarrilloI am the mother of Alayna, a very dramatic, sweet, outspoken 5 year old. She tells me how much she wants be an actor like tho kids on TV. Random people and friends always say she should get into it as well and how she would make a good lil actress. She has an extensive vocabulary for her age. She is very dramatic and outspoken and the only time she takes direction well is when she’s making a video or taking pictures which is a plus for this haha. BriAunna LyonsHi, I’ve grown up watching Disney every day of my life. I’ve learned life lessons, jokes, and what I would like to be when I grow up; an actress. Currently I am a freshman in high school and I am constantly told that this is the year that I finalize my career choice-pick my destiny. Of course everyone wants to be big in the entertainment industry (For example, how many people have commented?), so when I expressed my love for the performing arts everyone was skeptical. Basically I was told, “Hollywood is a little too far from our hometown.” No real support. That is until I joined the Drama club. Recently (April 25-26th), we performed “High School Musical” and everyone became less skeptical of my dreams. I only played the female version of Ripper(the cello-playing skateboarder) but still I’ve gotten enough compliments to last a lifetime. Those words of encouragement has given me the bravery to type this. I am a 14(turning 15) year old girl with a 3.8 GPA. I am also African American(even though I don’t believe it matters what race I am). I am exactly 5 ft. tall and weigh slightly over 100 pounds. What makes me stand out is the fact that I am extremely outgoing, witty, and sarcastic, yet intelligent, caring, and overbearingly thoughtful(Basically, I think everything threw a million times before actually going through with the idea with bravery and trust.). I’ve done two plays but I am well acquainted with acting, singing, and dancing. Other than being apart of my high school’s drama club, I am also in Rock Band Club, cheer leading, and I recently left dance club. Drama club is, of course, a love of mine. Rock band club was an invention of my school’s principal and offers us a chance to form a band with friends, acquaintances, and people I’ve only seen passing in the hallways. It helps immensely with singing and learning how to play multiple instruments. Basically, I’m a “lover of the arts” as my brother says. I just enjoy performing so much. Just having small roles like Ripper, is satisfying. Nothing feels better than completely embodying the personality of someone else and feeling the lights shine on you like there’s nothing else in the world that could possibly be better than that moment. That probably made absolutely no sense, but when you’re talking about something you love, sometimes you don’t make sense and for me that’s acting.
