Step Up 5 – Movie

Here’s some amazing news not only for Step Up fans but also for up and coming actors and dancers everywhere – Step Up 5 is coming! That’s right, another installment of the incredible dance filled film franchise is set to begin production soon and casting calls for a number of fabulous roles will be taking place very soon. This is the chance for several performers of all ages to ‘Step Up’ into an exciting movie career.

Step Up 5 will follow the series previous hits Step Up, Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up 3D and Step Up Revolution which have grossed an unbelievable $570 million dollars in worldwide box office all while launching the career of some of Hollywood’s favorite stars. Plot details for Step Up 5 are being kept very secret at this time but the producers goal is to have a Fast And the Furious type climax that will feature a veritable all-star team from the first four films including mega star Channing Tatum (Magic Mike, 21 Jump Street, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Jenna Dewan-Tatum (American Horror Story, 10 Years, Take the Lead), Briana Evigan (Sorority Row, S. Darko, Longmire), Sharni Vinson (You’re Next, NCIS, Home And Away) and Ryan Guzman (Pretty Little Liars, Beyond Paradise, April Rain). The rumors are dancing around but what is known for sure is that Step Up 5 is happening and you could be a part of it.

    For years I’ve really enjoyed the Step Up movies, and I’m so excited about this new movie!

    I’m an adult actor/dancer/singer who is in a wheelchair. You won’t find many like me. I like to push myself and my chair to the limits. If it can be imagined, I will try to find a way to do it. I think a dance movie with a wheelchair dancer in it would be great… to have a wheelchair team, even better. I can’t get you a team, but I’ll compete with any dancer in a wheelchair… and some that aren’t. I can’t exactly do pointe or Irish Step dance anymore (I can try to hop around in my chair with my arms down, but it would get boring, fast! *laugh*) I can try anything else.

I am a senior at the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville Kentucky where I am a dance major, and I study ballet, modern, jazz, and tap, I am also the captain of the step team, the choreographer for the liturgical dance group of my church, and I participate on a hip hop dance team called Soljettes where we have competed in numerous competitions such as the BET Blaze the Stage competition. I desire to be like Nicole Scherzinger who also graduated from the Youth Performing Arts School. She has inspired me to follow my dreams and to get my talent out in the world just like she did. It has always been a dream of mine to be apart of a Step Up movie and to be on TV dancing my heart out.     Hey there! I know a person who would be a great girl to be featured in this movie. Her name is Dalís Perez. She is 18. Dancing is her passion. She took dace lessons when she was 4 and unfortunately couldn’t continue. Recently in High school she was a part of several dance teams including Pom ( a mix between cheer and dance) and a group called Twisted Legacy which is a Hip hop crew. Dalís was also a part of the cheer team. She’s had several solos in her schools dance recitals. She also loves to choreograph dances. Dalís may even be considered a “professional” choreographer because she was paid to teach a group of students a danced she choreographed. Dalís is an accomplished person and a hard worker. I can dance more than one style of dancing, you could say I dance like cyrus Spencer, marquese scott, and twitch. I believe that I should be in this movie with all of the incredible dancers.

    instead of begging you to take me as a dancer for the cast id rather tell you why i want to be part of the cast. dancing is my life and i want to do amazing things with it; I’ve seen every single one of the step-up movies and have loved every moment of it. the passion that is put into dancing is what really draws me to it. i would be so glad if i could just make the step-up movies longer one minute at a time. to show other people that dancing is an art not just an entertainment, and that any one with the passion for it should go for it and not let it wither and shrivel up. so i’m just asking for a chance to show others that you should never stop doing what you love doing.
