Amanda MascarelliHello, my name is Amanda Mascarelli and I am fourteen years old and I’ve been acting since i was a little girl. I’ve had a lot of experience with acting. I love these kind of shows and i’ve been training in acting for these kinds of roles. I have been watching The Vampire Diaries and can say i am a huge fan of this show and many other shows on CW. For experienceI took part in Tannen’s Talent Agency where they taught me a lot on camera acting, along with a new monologue a day to be memorized in 20 minutes and recorded for people to see after. It was a soap opera class, so it gave me a lot of practice with dramatic scenes. I also went to Mara Hobel’s Rising Star Productions taught by the professional actor Mara Hobel who appeared in the movie Mommy Dearest. She taught me cool acting tips and techniques including: Costume, film and stage makeup, improvisation, vocal warm ups/exercises, along with letting me take part in the play Give My Regards To Broadway and Hubba Bubba with main roles. She taught me a lot of what I know about acting and I learned to not process what I have to say but to let the lines flow as if I am saying them from my own thoughts and feeling them on my own. She taught me expression and to not just say my lines, but to react as the other person is speaking to give the full effect of acting. I’m very passionate about acting and it’s the one thing I work day to day improving. I practice monologues and movie scenes daily, and gain extensive knowledge from watching my favorite actors/actresses on many drama TV shows like The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Arrow, Teen Wolf, Heroes, Burn Notice, Lost, and many others. I’ve appeared in many plays. I also went to Yorktown stage for further acting experience. I also sing and go for lessons at C-Note Music School. I am taught by a professional opera singer/pianist and perform at the school, variety shows, churches, and benefit concerts. I am currently going to KJK productions for more practice with acting. In ballet, to give a good show you must tell a story using no words whatsoever and only facial expressions. Of course while also thinking of proper ballet technique. I have been singing my entire life and have talent in that subject. So I can commit for an extremely long time, I can dance and I can sing. And I know ballet doesn’t include any lines but in all my school plays I have had the most lines and ballet improves memory. I.e. I was doing a play about greek mythology, ( I was the narrator and the main character) and I memorized three pages of lines, some as long as paragraphs, in under a week. I have loads of determination and skill and I would be exuberant to even just be a extra. My G.P.A. is a 3.9 and has only gone up form day one. I’m 15 years of age and around 5’8 – 5’9, I know its tall but that is only because I have had my growth spurt early and I don’t have much growing left. I will be 16 by the end of this year if you don’t think I am old enough. I know I would be a good role for the Vampire Diaries as I give everything I got. A lot of people go on saying how they are responsible, kind, wanting to be an actor since they were 4 etc, and don’t get me wrong, I am responsible and have been wanting to act since I was little, but everyone is born to do something. For me I know that is acting. I know its a long shot, the majority of people get knocked down and don’t find the will to get back up, but I’m different to them. A close cousin of mine wants to have an acting career, so earlier this year she auditioned to get into an acting university of some sort, but unfortunately for her she didn’t get in, but that didn’t stop her. She is now acting in theaters and claiming lots of different roles. Like her I don’t give up. My parents hate the acting career because of all the drug abuse and everything that goes on, but I know it is what I want. Once a dream, always a dream; you just got to make it happen.
