Vampire Diaries – The CW

The show is filled with romance, intrigue and the supernatural and has quickly become the television equivalent of the mega-hit Twilight films. I waste my spare time watching tvd over and over again (i have the dvd) and paying attention to how Nina talks and how everybody play their parts really well.     Outside of school in 2012, I’ve participated in a very well known annual production called, ‘MAAFA’. A Kiswahili term for “terrible occurrence” or “great disaster”. It refers to the Black Holocaust when millions of Africans died during the journey of captivity from the west coast of Africa to the shores of America, known as the middle passage. It is a remembrance of the thousands of African Americans lynched and murdered before and after the end of enslavement.

    On May 25th of this year, I performed in an Off-Broadway production called ‘Fifteen and Grown’, written, produced, and directed by PDM’s Performing Arts CEO/Founder and executive director, Trevi Pershay.

    Aspiring Model and Actress, whom recently graduated from a performing arts high school located in Downtown Brooklyn, NY called ‘Dr. Susan S. McKinney Secondary School of the Arts’. My major in the school I attended was Theatre. To enhance my theatrical skills, I desire to attend ‘New York University’, and also gain experience in TV Film, so that I may pursue this passion of mine and turn my dreams into reality. I also intend on building a modeling portfolio. With this fun, enormous, positive, interesting persona of mine and your help, I believe I can go very far!

    To be very honest, I have not followed the TV series, but have read all the books. After reading some basic information on the TV series, I found the show very inspiring. It portrays Nina Dobrev as a simple girl, yet she is determined and persists until she gets what she deserves. She is a kind, lovable young women, and I think that is very important for teenagers to learn from these days. The books and show made me want to persue my dream – acting. If answered honestly, I don’t have acting experience, and with only a little modelling experience. But I do believe that experience can be learnt in the process. That’s what makes everyone in Vampire Diaries special, they all started from the bottom, which is also very inspiring. This is not a spontaneous act for me to want to act in fact I’ve wanted to be an actress, model, and singer for quite some time however acting was my first love and passion. However my favorite part of Vampire Diaries isn’t just the plot and characters but the behind the scenes of how everything works and what the cast has to say about working with one another.
