Starz’s “American Gods” Seeking Paid Extras

Casting Call for Extras for Major Cable TV Series in Oklahoma

Starz is coming out with a new series called American Gods and casting directors are looking for extras to be in the show. American Gods is set to film in Oklahoma and is looking for men and women to play bicyclists and passerby. The casting team is open to background actors who are ages 18 to 75 years old to work the paid shoot. These roles are set to film on Sunday, June 12th.

About the Show

The plot of “American Gods” posits a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs. Its protagonist, Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), is an ex-con who becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), a conman with personal ties to the battle between the deities. What They Are Looking For

Casting directors are seeking men and women who live in Oklahoma to be extras in the upcoming Starz series. They are looking for people to play bicyclists and general passerby(people passing by the actors).

Applicants must be 18-75 and have proof of Oklahoma residency.

Those submitting as a bicyclist should include a photo of their bicycle and they must be willing to bring it to the shoot.

The pay will be $75/day. No travel allowance will be paid so actors who apply should be local.

Applicants must be available all day on the day of filming. No partial days allowed. Be sure you are fully available for June 12th. The call time and end time has not yet been determined.

To be considered, read and follow the submission instructions very carefully. If you don’t follow the instructions exactly and make sure to include everything, your submission will not be considered.

-Email recent photo, and a photo of your bike if necessary, plus all contact information to the email address below.

-If you are selected to appear in the project, you will be notified by email and phone call. Check emails regularly and allow the submissions@freihofercasting.com email address in your address book.
