I use to come home from school everyday saying the lines of NEO because I wanted to become him someday. That “special one” The one who had potential. The one who could make a difference. When I was in high school I didn’t know what I wanted to be. Everyone was going to be ASTRONAUTS, FIREFIGHTERS, DOCTORS, etc. and me……..no clue. I had an idea but I didn’t think it was possible because I never had formal training. But I was watching tv one day about this guy who was talking about acting and he said “If you cant see yourself doing ANYTHING else and you have a deep passion for it……do it” That’s what I did. As soon as I graduated from high school I auditioned at AMTC (Actors Models Talent for Christ) just to see if I could act or not. I got accepted but didn’t have the money to go to their school. I then auditioned for VCU school of Arts…again to see if I could act……out of 200 people they accepted 35 and I was one of those 35! after that I auditioned for a movie that’s coming out this year. I received the script one day before the audition date and I got in!. The reason why Im telling you this is because I want to make my family proud and ACT. That’s what I do. There are people like me everywhere just waiting for an opportunity like this. I feel like a tiny speck on the map in Virginia where no one can see me. I want to influence people like me and everyone else that they don’t have to be afraid for what they want in life, if they want to DO IT, then DO It, go for it. I want to be NEO to them. I have always imagined myself in a TV show, but never more than I have pictured myself in this one. The cast is full of amazing actors and actresses who portray their characters in a way that at one point seemed impossible to me. When they are the antagonist they make you hate them, and when they are the protagonist they make you love them. This show, as well as its cast plays with your emotions and in all the right ways. It would be a dream come true to be a part of something like that. Even if I have to start as an extra to prove that I am the correct material to be a star it’s a step I’m willing to take. I have always loved to act, play dress up, and be dramatic. This television series could be what takes the things that I love to do and make them the one thing that I get to do.
