Hello my name is shakera and I have always wanted to become a Singer ever since I was in diapers. Everyone has told me that I have a beautiful voice and that I should sing and act. My mother, little sister and I have been through so much basically losing everything. My mom have been on unemployment for 2years now. And with a voice I have I am willing to make not to only make a change fo me but also my family. God bless.

  2. Shameia Crawford

Singing has been my life since I was a child. I grew up wanting to be on Star Search & Apollo.
My ultimate goal was to sing & perform & make enough money to support my family. More than 11 years later, I’m still climbing the ladder to success. Ive been to almost every music reality show out there. I have made it to the top 50 & top 100 for 2 of them. But never chosen. I am quite the performer & singer. I just need a television platform to get me before the world, and gain the interest of a label that can help me spread my music around the world. I’m now 28, and starving to fulfill my goal. I’d love your help. THANKYOU for your consideration.
    Shameia Crawford

  4. zita dina

My name is Zita Dina and i’m 20 years old. I think it is amazing that you guys are planning to kick off such promising singing show. It is true that some people think that there are already too many singing competitions on TV but i have to admit that there is nothing more hopeful for an undiscovered artist or a battled singer to know than knowing that there is still a chance for him or her to see his/her dream come true. I’ll be thrill to be part of this singing show and i only pray that this is the chance that i have been waiting on. Also i would love to know more about the show and when the auditions would become available….Thank you

  5. Dayna Woodhams

I am a singer above anything else but i had to stop pursuing it so strongly after getting a job working in an office to make ends meet. I am 27 years old and from Michigan originally but currently live in brentwood, California. I used to sing everywhere from bars to national competitions to cruise ships! I am still a musician at heart and sing every single day in my house or even around the office! I need another opportunity to pursue what I truly love. I am a regular girl with an amazing talent that isnt getting seen. I sing country music and would absolutely love to be mentored by John Rich! My story is inspiring and relatable and i have the talent to boot! Please let me know me know how i can be a part of this and given a chance to pursue what I know I was meant to do. Thanks!

  6. Don Reese

    Howdy,

I am a mid-thirties singer turned teacher. Just got burned out doing the local bar scenes and breaking up fights mid-set: a change of pace was necessary. I am country to the bone but a blues hound as well. I auditioned for Nashville Star and was deemed too old for “idol.” This would be a great opportunity for a lot folks to hear a voice that was been on ice for a while. I can melt that ice to vapor with the right song. I moonlighted and have sat-in on Broadway…I know its touristy, but still good musicians and music. Have had a few standing O’s and curtain calls. I always close a show with “One Way Out” by the Allmans or “Goodbye Time.” your show concept sounds great! I am a former Marine and live on my farm in Georgia.

  8. Nicholas John

Hi. My name is Nicholas John. I am a 29 year old married father of three. I have been addicted to singing, playing and writing music since I was ten. I have been playing and singing in church all my life. I currently am the lead vocalist and piano player for my cover band Flowidity. Since my current town is so small, local gigs have not really afforded me the exposure that I feel I am destined for. My band plays anytning from Gospel to Pop. I don’t really have a favorite genre. I love soul music because of the raw gift and passion it gives. Artists such as Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Al Green and Teddy Pendergrass have been infused into my musical DNA. As a child my family was big on the oldies. I love Gospel music for it’s inspiration and Pop music for it’s fun and ability to be international. I have always believed in my gift of music. My dream is to inspire the world with life and love through my music one song at a time.

  9. Nicholas John

Hello. My name is Nicholas John. I am a 29 year old married father of three. I love to write, sing and produce music. I have been singing in church every since I can remember going. I am currently the lead vocalist and piano player for my band Flowidity. Other than playing local gigs in my SMALL hometown I haven’t had to platform to reach more ears. I have been compared to Brian McKnight, John Legend and Tyrese. I play and sing anything from Gospel to Pop. I don’t really have a favorite genre. I love soul hits such as Otis Redding, Ray Charles because of the raw talent and passion. Gospel music brings such inspiration while Pop music is just fun and has an ability to be universal. All I’ve ever wanted since I was 11 years old was to have the opportunity for the world to hear me. I know that I have a gift and my desire is to share it to inspire life and love one song at a time.

Hi my name is rachel. I am 19 years old and i live in a very small town in Tn, called Leoma.
To me singing is a way of expressing my intermost feelings and thoughts.
For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to be on stage and entertain.
From age 11 I started singing in a group with my mom and dad in a Gospel Singing association in our hometown. My dad passed away about three years ago, and it tore me apart. But I didn’t just quite, me and my mom still are singing.I thank God every day that he gave me this amazing ability!!! I am all about perserverance, I guess my dad instilled that in me. I’ve tried and tried to make it with my music, and it just seems like it goes nowhere. But I haven’t let it get me down. I really would love an opportunity to perform for you , not only to make my dad proud, but also to prove to myself that I have what it takes, and also to show all those people who made fun of me in highschool and thought they were better than me that they were wrong. I hope you’ll give me half a chance to prove myself, thanks!!!

I love the concept of this project since it offers the contestants the opportunity to compete without having to leave home. I’m 12 years old, and have a passion for singing DEARLY. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. The place isn’t as bad as everyone thinks. Since forever my mom has been telling me- “Dear, you could sing before you could talk.” I’ve made a couple YouTube videos hear and there, but nothing MAJOR, ya know? I’ve been on stages, at the school talent show and got A standing ovation. I would LOVE to be part of “The Star Next Door”. I know my familia will be there to strongly support me, and then some!! Haha!! From the very begining I have had and still do ,a strong desire to be a professional singer. I love to share my talent with others, well mist of the time. My first singing competition….i remember when i was 7 years old, my father ( a colonel) asked me to team up with him in the Christmas Military father and Child singing competition. We won a sack or rice and a bag full of groceries.from then on I always enjoyed singing, and never looked back. I love variety of music, from R&b soul, jazz, classical, ballad, country, rock , samba, etc. I also joined and won some singing competition in Asia, like the version of american idol in Hongkong in 2005..The sing minnesota competiton in 2010 and the Entertainer of the year in 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.I stop wishing but i will never stop DREAMING. 22. Desiree Gonzalez

I would love the opportunity to participate in the show! 🙂 I have been pursuing music for awhile now but still struggle with getting my voice heard so to speak.

  23. Steph

I’m 24 and I’m a closet singer. Seriously, no one knows I sing, but it’s the one thing that’s helping me stay sane as I battle some health issues. Because of those issues I’ve had to quit my job in NYC and move back to my hometown. So I think it would be pretty cool if you came to tiny North Brookfield, MA, and made a big splash. They’re is also a semi- famous recording studio here: Longview. It would be cool to get us on the map.

  24. Unique Hayes

I would love to be part of your new show. I have appeared on Wheel of Fortune and I am very outgoing, energetic, and I have excellent stage presence. I’ve been singing most of my life and I have even directed the church choir and have been on the Praise & Worship team. I can sing any genre of music.

  26. courtney c

I love to sing. Singing is what I do. I have not had the chance to be able to sing in front of someone that could get me to the next level. I am a hard worker and I will do what it takes to get there. Please pick me

  27. lsosa

  28. Azusa Dance

I would love the opportunity to share and showcase my talent, but also learn how to be a better person and performer. I have enjoyed some opportunities locally and would love to have a chance to do some phenomenal work elsewhere with some professionals in the industry. Most importantly, I enjoy singing and performing for it is fun and an extension of who I am. This would be another fun way to learn more and understand, from others that enjoy what they do and touch so many people.

  29. Taylor Holland

    Hey there!

My name is Taylor. I am a 20 year old who looks no older then 16. I am always asked my age and once I’ve told them, I always get the “oh my goodness, I don’t believe it” response. I love it. I have done some theater work (small roles) and I am singer/actress and musician.

I sing, dance, play instruments and write my own music. I can also make weird noises with my voice so I’m always told that I’d be great for voice overs. Overall I just love performing. Being in front of an audience or being on stage, that’s what excites me. My dream is to be a positive role model and driving force for all the teenagers and kids that have that have a dream. I want to live my dream. I have all the ambition and drive in the world, all I need is a chance to prove it. Please contact me if you are at all interested. My email address is listed.

  31. Shanyn Trammell

I love the concept of this project since it offers the contestants the opportunity to compete without having to leave home. I’m a 28 year old who had the honor of being chosen to perform as one of “Broadway’s Rising Stars” in 2008. I had high hopes of remaining in NYC after graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy but without student loan money or job prospects coming in, I found myself returning to Corpus Christi,Texas. I manage the community theater and satisfy my creative energy by directing and performing as a volunteer. I’m a mentor to the young people at The Harbor Playhouse and am looking forward to sponsoring a group of them to the Big Apple in June. Corpus Christi is a beautiful city that would provide a perfect back drop for the cameras and I guarantee to be a good competitor for the program. I can even take you to our own “Cheers” where I sing karaoke. Please offer me another opportunity to share my talents beyond my home town.

  32. Myron nieves

Hi, my Name is Myron im 12 yrs old reside in Chicago il I got the charm charisma and the voice of a star just waiting on my chance of a lifetime so please keep me in mind
Yours if you want me MYRON,

  33. Christina Dalpe

I think it’s great that they will come to you!! I can’t tell you how many travel in line auditions I have seen. I would love to be involved with this show; just to meet anyone who’s actually made it and be able to pick their brain! It would also give me the chance to show my four year old that dreams can come true…as long as you follow them. And what kind of a life is without dreams?

  34. Amber-Nicole L. Watty

Music calls me back time and time again, and I can’t seem to stop my dangerous addiction to it. My mother often sighs as I practice and practice the art in my room for hours on end. (Though, admittedly it does strain the voice.)

I gave up piano because it could not convey the emotions I wanted. I gave up violin because my hands were not skilled enough to stop the dreadful squeak of notes I would let tumble out.

But singing is something I will never give up, period. I’ve worked too hard for it.

I live in Grantville, GA (born and raised in NY, though), and hopefully I will be on this show.

    Thank You

  35. Charlene Van Horn

Hi my name is Char, I am a (almost) 35 yrs old and live in Oregon City with my husband and 2 kids. For the past 8 years I have been a stay at home mom and homemaker. I have been singing since I was a little girl playing “annie” in my backyard on the swing set.I have recently begun taking guitar lessons, yes you can teach an old dog new tricks! 😉 , in hopes of leading worship at my church someday.I would love for you to come to my place to hear me, I am too old for some competitons and honestly do not have the time or money to travel to others. My husband recently was called into ministry and is going back to school for his associates in christian ministry and was laid off while in school which made him not eligible for unemployment. So we had no income for about 5 months. Enough about that though! What you want to hear about is how much I love to sing, it is a part of me, of my soul.Ever since I can remember I have wanted to be a singer. I want to share with others that feeling you get when you hear the perfect song, the one that speaks to your soul, when everything is going wrong and the ache won’t go away. The feeling of relief, just a few moments of joy,in the chaos, because they captured so beautifully what you could not.Thank you for considering me, and God Bless 🙂

  36. Hannah McCarty

I sing, play guitar and piano, and I write my own music.
I would love to be considered for star next door.
I’m 19, 5’3″ and a college student. Music is my dream.

  37. Reggie Washington

Hey i think you should come to Syracuse, New York! Their’s so much talent here and underground artist that is ready for a chance of a lifetime. If you decide to come to my city it would be well worth it. Love ya

  38. Amina Sawyer

Hi, my name is Amina and I would love to feature in your show. Please keep me posted.
    Thanks in advance

  39. L Frost

L Frost … Singer, Rapper, Dancer, Songwriter, Choreographer, Performer … & the Star Next Door!

He has humbly taken the industry by storm. Having worked with artists like Ginuwine, Chris Brown, Darrin Henson, and Usher; winning the 2011 Monsters of Hip Hop Freestyle competition; his photo graces the Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s top ten list as the representation of Hip Hop and the Paper Jamz Microphone Pro Series toy; posted on billboards across the nation for Step Up 3D; and priding himself on being a positive role model, with his “No Alcohol, No Smoking,” image… L Frost is a force that can’t be stopped and being on this show would be the beginning of an amazing musical career for him!

  40. Samatha Medrano

My name is samatha,& as cliche’ as it sounds,I have been singing since I was born..or pretty much close to that time. I make YouTube videos for fun and catch myself singing in department stores, grocery stores and always around my house. I sound decent and my variety in music and voice goes rather far…I can’t go a day without breaking into song.it would be an honor to get a visit from you all. Take care.<3

  41. Caressa Cameron

I am currently 24 years old and have been singing my entire life. Singing has always been an enjoyable activity in my life. I would love to be able to have a career as a professional singer. I have performed for national audiences to include performing at the 2009 inauguration of President Obama. One of my most recent national performances was on TLC, January 2010 when I performed during the Miss America competition where I was one of 53 women competing for the title. My performance of Beyonce’ “Listen” along with my other attributes was instrumental in my winning the title of Miss America 2010. The talent score was over 35% of the total score. During my reigning year I performed for audiences throughout the country. I cannot began to explain to you how much pleasure I experienced as a result of being able to bring joy to so many as I was able to sing for them. The fulfillment I experienced as I was able to make other happy help me to realize that there is nothing I would enjoy more than singing for a career. I would love to be able to continue what I experienced during the year as Miss America. I pray that you would consider me for your show. I am from the little historical town of Fredericksburg, VA, the home of the civil war. I would like this town to be known for something other than a confederate town. How wonderful it would be for this town to reflect its transitions from it’s past history. Tthank you for your consideration of me for the show. I hope to hear from you soon, Caressa.

  42. Jennie McCoy

I would love to be considered for the “The Star Next Door”. My profession is teaching junior high, and my love is music! I have been compared to Karen Carpenter and syrup! I live in the beautiful San Bernardino Mtns in Big Bear Lake, California. I hope you will consider a visit.

  43. Judith Nabzdyk

You should check out Erika Fatale. She has lots of talent and energy. Very pretty and well-spoken, too! I was very fortunate to hear her perform live. In addition to dance music, she performs balads and even opera beautifully.

She made time in her busy schedule to sing at my niece’s wedding. There was not a dry eye in the room when she finished singing. A touching and beautiful performance. America needs to see more of this talented young woman!!!

  44. Janicka James

There isn’t much to say but singing is what moves me. My expression is through music. In my weakest hours my voice allows me to cry out. I have three children, I”m 35 years old and single. My get away is locked in my room with my favorite music, (whatever artist that moves me at the time) and I sing til the tears roll down my face. Since I was young music has been my expression in the good and bad times. This Coatesville, Pa woman is “The Star Next Door.”

  45. Kent Kramer

My name is Kent and I’m 36 years old. I was in the Army from 1995 to 2009 serving as a geospatial intelligence analyst. During my 14+ years I auditioned for and was awarded a position on the 2005 U.S. Army Soldier show cast. I really got the bug for being on stage in lights in front of thousands from this opportunity. The show’s six month 100+ show tour was performed all over the continental US, Alaska, Korea, and Japan. Then in 2007 I auditioned for, and was selected to be one of Blake Shelton’s choir singers in an NBC show, “Clash of the Choirs”.
I have always had a great love for singing and have always felt that I had what it takes to be a successful entertainer. Nearly every time I perform someone asks me why I’m not singing for a living, and my answer is nearly always the same; “It doesn’t really matter how good you are, if the right person doesn’t hear you, you will not be successful”. I honestly believe that, given the opportunity, I would be a powerful force in the music industry.

  46. Amberwoody

  48. Drew Santiago

    Hi Everybody!

My name is Andrew Santiago (call me Drew). I’m from Rockland County, super close to New York. For me, personally, music is something that I have grown up with, and has always stuck to me, its one of the few things I have a deep love for in life. I’ve been singing for a while now, and for me the best part is performing in front of people, and sharing the joy of music. I feel that anybody can sing, but the overall performance is super important (a lot of people can’t hold a stage presence).

Anyway, gimme a shot, I’d love to show ya what I got!
Feel free to send me an email…

    Thanks again,

    Andrew

  49. Lauren Hoffman

I’m 18 years old. I live in Pennsylvania. I have been singing since I was around three. I even taught myself how to read music and play piano when I was eight years old. I would love to be on this show and have the chance for my voice to be heard.

  50. Josh Holiday

I’m so excited to be considered for The Star Next Door as Queen Latifa is one of my ALL-TIME favorite Moguls in the industry. My hometown definitely deserves to be put on the map as we only have about 800 people who live here in Celeste, TX and I graduated in a class of 30. I recently graduated from Belmont University and am in pursuit of a solo artist career. Another part of my testimony is that I am a Christian and that is very important to me; in fact this was the only factor in my life that helped my family through the loss of my father Charles Richard Wright to cancer during my senior year of High School. I have not been ready to talk about this before, but believe God has been preparing me all the way for a moment like this. I look forward to competing on your show and being as successful as John Rich was on the Apprentice!

ps. My artist name is JOSH HOLIDAY!

  51. Jennifer Thyng

Hello from North Branch, MN!!! I am a 35 year mom of two who does Daycare, Bookkeeping and Medical Dictations while I enjoy homeschooling my two kiddos! I love to sing, but most importantly, I love to encourage others through music. I have been singing since I was 4 and would love the opportunity to share my growth while encouraging others to use their giftings for something other than personal gain. I have had many vocal opportunities, and in this small community have enjoyed singing at the Senior Center and for disabled adults! I is a blessing to bring a smile or two! Thank you for your consideration and I hope that you would bring some wonderment to this here small town!

  52. Leslie Hanson

Hello! My name is Leslie Hanson and I would be so honored to be considered to audition for the upcoming reality show “Star Next Door”. I have been singing since I muttered the chorus of the traditional hymn, Amazing Grace, at the early age of 2. I grew up in metro Atlanta, Georgia – loving music, dressing up in big-collared shirts and embellished velvet capes (sewn by my great aunt Frankie) pretending to be Elvis, as I performed impromptu mini concerts for my grandparents on Sunday afternoons. In my late teen years, my great uncle had a cover band in the Atlanta area called “Ruby Red”, and he would let me sing with them from time to time. It was my dream – ……………MY ULTIMATE DREAM. In my late 20s, I scoured local papers and ads for female vocalists – any band that may be looking for a singer. Fortunately, I found a couple of variety bands that I’ve been singing with for years. Both are wedding/party bands – one is 70s disco/funk; the other oldies/classic rock/jazz. This has satisfied my desire for many years, and has given me the beautiful gift of “experience”, but I am now looking for the next step. I know that my potential is infinite if I can just get in front of the right people. God gave me a voice and I want the world to hear it! I am confident that my personality and vocal ability will make for a great candidate for your competition, and I would appreciate any consideration. Thank you!

I’m 28 yrs old and trying to find my voice again. When I was younger, you couldn’t keep me off the stage! But as I grew older, life got in the way, and the nerves that use make me good turned into full out fear. Fearful of what others thought or said, I quit singing. When I met my husband, my family would tell him how I use to sing and he would kid around and ask me to sing him something. I taught him my Grandma’s favorite song ‘Amazing Grace’ and from that moment on he always asked why I didn’t sing more often. It’s hard to explain the fear and anxiety that can grip you though. As a surprise wedding present, I found a piano player with a recording studio, and had him help me record ‘The Rose’ to be played during our ceremony. That’s what got him, I managed to make my tough country boy cry. On our honeymoon, our resort had a piano bar, and every night we would go there and I realized how much I missed singing. On our last night there the piano player shook my hand and in his Jamaican accent said ‘Keep singing, my lady’ and I have. I’m slowly finding my voice again but would love all the help I can get.
    God Bless,
    ~ Suzanne

  54. Sherrice Richards

I’m so excited about this new show. I’ve been singing and playing drums in church since I was 8yr old. But until recently, I never took my voice seriously. I always just loved to sing for the honor and glory of God only. I’ve been hiding behind the choir and running from my calling for so long that I when people would give me complements I would just blush them off. I never took anyone’s feedback serious at all.

Last year I was accented into Full Sail University in to the Recording Arts degree program, and I started this school not knowing that it would bring me back to my first love…Singing! Since I’ve started Full Sail, I’ve seeing so much growth and maturity and improvement in myself and in my voice. I’ve been opening up more and more and applying the feedback. I just want to sing now more then I ever did as a little girl in church.

I would be honored to make it on this new show. Even if I don’t make it far at all, just for a chance to audition is blessing all by itself. I’m so shy and afraid of what people think of me and my voice. But I believe that God blessed me to be a blessing to others, who am I to not use my gifts.

I hope you find favor in me and I pray God bless everything and everyone involved with this new show.
    Muah…God Bless!

Music, soul and evolution equals my platform in life. Manifesting dreams into reality when your back is against the wall is the most impeccable time to reveal the impossible. Adversities have forced me to take a chance and sacrifice the practical to follow my passion into the unknown. Most mportantly I’ve been humbled enough to see beyond fame and deliver what grounds me (insight through music of life and its harsh realities). My goal is to transform negative into positive while remaining individual. In my catastrophe serenity is music (it puts me in a different frame of mind). What’s most powerful is how universal it is (I want to share my journey). What will future musician’s bring to the table to enhance the quality of life? Tune in.

Thank you for reviewing my post.

  72. Michael Sneeden

I am a 46 year old male and my wife is 29. We both had musical ambitions before we met. It wasnt until we met that we both became very serious about our dreams together as well as in our music. Like many of the post on this website, we are often asked why we arent in Nashville. Truth is we are in Nashville almost monthly and take every chance we can get to sing. We have a dream of making music the career we have always dreamed of. We dont fool ourselves into believeing that appearing on a show is the answer to our dreams. On a show or not, it takes a lot of work and committment and we are committed to doing whatever it takes. I we would be considered for the show, we would give our all and be thankful for the opportunity.
Thanks for making opportunities available to all of us that keep dreaming!

  73. Maya Singleton

The music that I listen too now Is completely different from the music I have heard years ago. I miss the classics, I miss the realness in every artists voice. There wasn’t any effects added too make your voice sound “better”, everything was real and from the heart. I am a real singer and I sing from my heart and let my voice take over my soul. The world is being deprived of real music, real instruments, real soul & I insist on my voice being heard because I know in my heart I can make a change too music and I need to be heard by any means necessary and even if I don’t get a spot on your show I am still going to strive for what my heart is set on and that is to sing. Everybody deserves to hear me and I won’t stop until they do.

    Sincerely,
    Maya Rachelle Singleton

  74. Karaleigh Garrison

I am Karaleigh Garrison and I live in Nipomo, CA, the most beautiful place on earth! I am 22 years old and I am the singer you are looking for. I can literally sing anything you want and every note will blow your mind. I am anxiously seeking out my chance to show the world what I am made of, but I am definitely open to learning more. I have been married for nearly 4 years and I have two beautiful children, a 2 year old girl and a 9 month old boy. They are amazing and I love them to death, but being a full time mom doesn’t leave me much opportunity to perform. I karaoke as often as possible and the crowds go wild and I soak up the spotlight while I can, but come morning it’s back to poopy diapers and baby food. Let me show you what I can do!!!!!!!

  75. Kelsey Davis

My name is Kelsey Davis. I live in Orlando, FL and I would just absolutely LOVE to be The Star Next Door! I realized I had a voice since the age of 12 and have been singing and trying to get booked since then. I’m 18 now:) I think I should be considered because I love to sing and music is my life. I don’t kmow what I’d do without it… Seriously, I don’t. The main reason I should become The Star Next Door is because I want to share my love for music to the world and touch the lives of others through it. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon!
