Hi I am a 19 year old country music artist from Franklin PA . I have been singing for about 4 years now. I started in small home town competitions and went to Nashville where I won a competition at The ICM Inspirarional Country Music Awards. I recorded my first cd “What A Cowboy Does” my first self penned song “PRAY” went to #3 on the inspirational charts . I then decided to do a little main stream country. I have been working with Mr. Jim Peterik of the bands The Ides OF March and Suvivor! “Eye Of The Tiger”. I just released my 2nd cd last fall produced by him. “Born For THis” I recut a famous 80’s hit of his “Hold On Loosely” in a country version, pretty cool. I really really want to make music my full time career , I know it’s not an easy business to make it it but I am willing to do what ever it takes. There are lots of great artists out there you just have to keep working and pray for that lucky break that one day the right person will hear you and take that chance with you. I would really love the opportunity to show you what I have to give and I am always ready to learn more! You can check out my music on I Tunes and CD Baby and my webpage huntercookmusic. Don’t get me wrong I love doing the shows I do around my home and I have such great people that support me and my music but I am ready to grow even more! One show I did last year I was performing in front of over 30,000 people what a awesome feeling I loved it. The bigger the audience the better . But now matter how small or how big I’m always ready to give em a show! Please come to Franklin Pa !!!!

I was very interested to read this, but of course, wonder if there are any age restrictions–I am 48 years old, but just released my first cd, via CDBaby.com in December of 2014. It’s a cover cd, “Sundown: A Gordon Lightfoot Retrospective,” that my husband and funded nearly entirely ourselves. With no record company backing me, I have been coming up with new and creative ways to market the disc. My husband is worried we will not recoup the money we spent on the project. I say that’s not why I did it! I put the disc out to honor some great music and as a vehicle to get my voice heard. Reading about The Star Next Door made me think that perhaps this is the way to get my voice heard by more people! I’m in Santa Monica, so I hope you will be in Los Angeles at some point! I would love to work with you and you would find no better student than I. Thanks for creating this opportunity.

  10. Lynn Hake

WHAT A GREAT IDEA FOR A SHOW AND I WANT TO BE PART OF IT!!

My name is Lynn Hake I ride show jumping horses professionally and I am a single mom, 2 of my boys are autistic, the youngest now 11 is non-verbal but one day he was walking away from me and started to sing …in tune and perfect rhythm a song i had heard before. I quickly downloaded the lyrics I heard him sing and found the name of the song was “whats up” 4-non blondes. i was not sure where he heard it. I learned the song and that started a whole new way of communicating with him. What that started was me learning every song I would here him randomly sing……and from all different genres……trying in any way to just get more word to come out of his mouth, I went and bought microphone and speakers and started singing everyday with him. What I found out about myself was a god given talent that I have as well. I have always loved music and singing but not to the extent that this situation has brought new meaning to everything I sing.

I would love the opportunity to audition for The Star Next Door.

    Sincerely
    Lynn Hake

  11. destiny bostic

I would really love to be on this show because it will be the chance of a lifetime and I could actually win and get DISCOVERED!! But I know I can do it so I have no worries whatsoever. But whatever happens I’m not gonna give up.

Hi my name is Christele and I have been singing all my life in fact my family is very musical. I have always dreamed of becoming a singer, I love music and I find for me it’s the best way to represent how I feel. I’ve sung in church, weddings, contest, etc but this opportunity seems bigger than them all. I hope you all can find a time slot to come to Youngstown, Ohio, there is so much talent here but not enough opportunities. I hope you can be the first show to show that even in tough places you’ll find the most beautiful things. I’m so excited and my voice, my desire, my dream won’t disappoint. Sincerely, Waiting!

  16. Danica

    Hi,
I don’t know if it is too late to comment on this post, but I thought I would give it a shot anyway.
My whole life has been surrounded by music. I have been singing for as long as I can remember, and I still remember a couple songs from when I was around 3 years old. I love music, and I love to sing. In fact, I actually received a scholarship for vocal singing for a private university that covered almost half the cost for each year. Anyway, I had to drop out because of health problems and I have lost my way a bit on what to do with my life. My dream has always been music. Always. If ya’ll could make a trip out to Raleigh, NC I would be truly thankful. I want to make a difference in the world by showing children how to express themselves through the arts, and a big part of that for me would be music. Singing has gotten me through some of the worst times of my life. Singing and listening to music helps me sour.

  17. SKlipper

I’m writing on behalf of my 12 year old daughter, Kendall. She has a voice that lights up a room and every time she sings, she makes those around her very happy. We live north of Boston on the North Shore and I’d love the opportunity for her to sing for you. She’s been invited to sing the National Anthem at several local sporting events and was a finalist in our area’s New England’s Got Talent competition back in September. Kendall is a quirky girl, living in the harsh reality of middle school and hasn’t quite figured out exactly where her niche is yet. She truly finds her inner peace and solace in music and uses her singing as a way to give herself a voice. She can belt a song that will give you chills and I hope that you’ll find interest in coming to see her.

  18. Keaira L.

Hi. I’m Keaira and i would love to be apart of this show. I currently sing in the choir and I have done a quite bit of talent shows. Please come to Dallas so I can have a amazing opportunity.

  19. I may be too late, but...

Hi there! My name is Kristin and I’m 27 years young 😉 I have been singing since I was 5 years old, thanks to the musical influences of my family. My father grew up playing drums, and my aunt became a singer on Broadway in NYC. She taught me a lot of what I know from a young age, including buying me my first keyboard and showing me the ropes. I grew up hearing her sing all the time, at every family gathering.. and I loved it. I became engrossed in music, listening to so many different genres, singing what ever I could. In middle school was when I started with Chorus class, and I continued it all the way until I graduated high school. I was always shy to sing alone, without an entire group of people, but my senior year I began to break out of that shell, and landed myself a few solos, as well as a spot in the Senior Show performing “Breakaway” by Kelly Clarkson all by myself. It was the most exhilarating experience, and knew that from here on out this was what I wanted to do.

Unfortunately, upon graduating… I took a turn for the worse. I met a guy who was all sorts of wrong for me, and got into a sticky situation between recreational drugs, drinking, and bouncing from job to job, part time, and I just couldn’t get back on my feet. I rarely picked up my guitar, and the only time I would really sing was alone, in the shower or driving somewhere. It was like I lost my way with music, and I let it all just get flushed down the drain without a care. It broke me. Luckily, a friend of my mom gave me a part time job at a doctor’s office, and things started to finally look up. After another two years of dealing with this guy, I finally cut the ties. It broke me down, beyond belief. But I knew it was something that had to be done for myself, to better myself and to be able to do what I’ve always wanted to do – be a singer, musician and performer.
Over the next 3 years, I really got back on my feet. I moved out of my parents house, I was playing more music, and singing, and I even tried out for America’s Got Talent and The Voice. Even though I didn’t receive a callback due to my nerves getting the best of me… I was as happy as can be. Things started to go a bit south, though… stress at work, low finances with high bills, and everything in between. I lost my grandfather in 2013, and it absolutely crushed me. When he passed, I couldn’t help but blame myself for not saying goodbye. Instead of sulking in that state, I decided to channel all of my hurt into my music, so I started writing. Early fall… I got a call from my father about his sister (my aunt). She had been battling breast cancer for at least 3 years, and things had started to take a turn for the worse for her. All I kept thinking was I want to see her, show her all that I’ve been working on. She would be so proud of me, because every time we talked she would always ask me how my music is going, and what I’ve been up to with it, and how much she loved my cover videos I’d put up on YouTube. It meant so much to me, since she taught me so much about music. A few days later, I got the call from my brother. She had passed away. I broke down. I couldn’t stop crying. I felt guilty, yet again, for not being able to say goodbye. But decided the only way to deal with it was the channel the pain into my music. So that’s what I have been doing since she passed 4 months ago.

I apologize for getting into my life story, but I would love nothing more than to be able to participate in this competition, especially for her. I’ve come so far over the past 6 years, and music means more to me than almost anything in the entire world. It lifts me up, it brings me happiness, and warms my soul. I can’t even explain more than that how it impacts my life, and how passionate I am about it. I think I would be great for this competition because I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make my dreams become a reality, and even though my aunt is no longer here, she can still watch from above and I still have a loving and supportive family who believes in me and my dreams. I’m ready for anything to come my way, and I want to take it head on. I’m very passionate and dedicated to singing and my music, and I would love the opportunity to share that with the world.

  22. AlyssaJoelle

Hi I’m a momager to my daughter (17) who is an aspiring singer. I recognized that she had talent watching American Idol! She would get up and start belting out songs and couldn’t believe I hadn’t noticed that she had a voice prior to that. Not only does she have great vocal talent but has rhythm too! Please let us know more about your vocal competition as we are very interested to share her talent and more of her story with you!
Thank you for your consideration 🙂

  23. Racheal Goodman

Hello, I’m Racheal Goodman. I’m a 23 year old performer residing in Mount Olive, North Carolina.

My entire being is dedicated to performing, but it seems that luck has never been on my side. My tire blows on my way to an open audition. I audition for casting studios, but the starting cost is too much. And when i leave home to define who I am as a singer, I have to quickly return home due to family emergencies. Because as much as my life is dedicated to performing, it is also dedicated to my family as well.

This program would not only be the perfect start for someone like me, who can’t leave home due to my mother’s health. Not only would I shine on this show, but i would put my blood, sweat, tears, and soul into every moment of it.

Coming to Mount Olive, North Carolina — a very rustic town — is not the only bold decision you can make. Taking a chance on me, is another. And both of these decisions will make for great experiences for me, as well as everyone (including the audience) involved.

  25. Natalie Matheny

Hello. My name is Natalie P. Matheny. I’m 29 years old. I’ve been singing since I was 5. Most of my opportunities were for school performances until I graduated. Now I perform for churches on special occasions. This is the first time I have put myself out there for any type of tv show. While I am extremely nervous, I am more excited. Music is my passion. If given the opportunity, I can prove to be a great asset by showing what an outgoing and lovable person I am. I have worked in accounting for many years and recently realized how far away I have let myself go from the things I love. I hope that after reading this, you find that I would be a great asset to such inspirational people and organizations. Please know that I have been waiting my whole life to be given the chance to do what I love.

  26. Joshua Kinder

Hi, my name is Josh. I’ve been singing since I was very young, doing theater and chorus. I want nothing more than to be known for my voice. Wilmington, NC is the only stop you’ll need to make. I look forward to being able to preform for you all.

  27. Natalie Taylor

Hello my name is Natalie Taylor and I am 27 years old. I live in Charlotte, NC and I have been singing since I was 3. I have been in tour choirs, chorus, talent shows, many different singing/karaoke contests. I have tried out for American Idol twice and sadly did not make it. I am very excited about this show. I love to sing, it is my passion! I have had to halt my dreams due to an incurable condition I have struggled with. But I still sang whenever and wherever I could. I hope I am able to have an incredible opportunity like this. Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing the show.

  28. Evan Gheesling

Hello my name is Evans and I’m from a small town In Georgia and singing and playing guitar is a passion not just a hobby and I think this would be a great opportunity to show the world What I got!

  29. Antonio Morrow

I always liked to sing since I was five, When I sing it just bring life to me. I always use to sing with my school choir and I love every minute. I have a place where in my heart I know I have a talent that I want the world to hear. If you come to my home town I promise, you will have a blast see you soon!

  30. Rashad

Hi I’m 17, I have been singing since I was a young boy but I’m finally ready to show the world my talent. I have a huge passion for singing and I want to share my voice and a story that this world hasn’t heard before, I’m ready for this world to hear me for once in my life.

  31. Crystal Whittaker

I would love to have The Star Next Door come to my hometown in Kissimmee/Orlando Florida.

  32. Lexi Bowen

This is perfect for me. I put singing and my dreams on the back burner to have children and it’s been weighing on my heart heavily. I want to audition for as many things as possible, however leaving my girls to do so is extremely difficult, especially when I do not know the outcome of the audition. Someone coming to me would give me the time to be a mother and try to be an artist. I’ve been through so much and singing is so important to me and now even more important since I have children. I want to show them it doesn’t matter how different you are, you can be anyone you want to be. You don’t have to fit the mold to be successful. Being a Dominican/Caucasian woman who sings country and lives a country life style is extremely difficult. But, no matter what I have to stay true to who I am.

  33. Rochelle G.

Hey there! I’m a 44 yr old mom of two from North Carolina, yes I said 44 years old, but look, feel, and act younger. I would hate to think that all my years of singing on stage in musicals, or bands, or acapella groups was just going to be a hobby and my passion and thats it. I feel like I still need to jump at every opportunity esp now that I’m in my 40’s. Every year older I get I develop more confidence and strength to never stop reaching for the stars. I want my kids and anyone over 40 who thinks that they are too old to still make a mark in this world to know that you should never stop trying, because even a 44 year old mom could get discovered and could still make her dreams come true!

  34. Julie Gibson

I’m 27 years old a recently divorced single mother of 3. I have always used singing and music as my escape from my reality when times get tough. I’ve Always been told how well i sing And sing publicly as often add possible. I truly believe i have the heart and soul too be a true artist and want too share my story and gift with anyone that i can share it with. I’ve attempted auditioning for other shows but due too my financial situation and motherly duties i have been unable toO. I would absolutely love the experience of being on this show if nothing more. So that i can give my kids and my family something too truly be proud of me for. I’ve always been an extremely timid person always being self conscious of everything about me, even my voice. I have recently started to see my life in a different light and singing has helped me get too this point. From singing in church too singing my kids too bed, music has and always will be in my life. Thank you so much for your time and consideration

    Julie

  35. Riann Moreno

My name is Riann and I am 17 years old turning 18 this summer. Ever since i was about 8 I have loved to sing. I love music, sometimes it feels like I can’t be without music. I always have music in my ears or in my head. Music is a constant factor in my life and helps me get through things. When I was born I was taken int child protective services care and became a foster child, I was adopted by my paternal grandmother when I was around five and have been with her until recently. My grandmother and I have moved around alot and I have been in many schools, It was hard to make friends and I wasn’t really good at anything. The one thing I feel I can do is sing. I have been in solo ensemble and one of my schools talent shows. I just want to have a chance to be something, make something of myself, and to feel really good about myself for once. That’s all I want. I have been living with my biological mother for about a year so far and she is where i got my talent and full support from. I just want to show my mom and grandma that I can do something right and good and make something out of myself.

  36. Kayla Goodwin

I am writing this on behalf of my cousin. She has an amazing voice, she sings like an angel/ She is not here with me right now or I would have her write this. But she is absolutely amazing and has tried out for the Voice but at that time she just needed a little bit more practice and was told (not by the celebrity judges) that she needed to lose a bit of weight. I am not sure weight has to do with the sound of her voice because let me tell you, When I heard her sing for the first time, I was blown away. Singing runs through her blood, as my mother sang with Alabama long ago and they called her the singing angel and now I have passed this down to Kayla Please take time to hear her sing, you wont regret it and she rites her own music as well. She is just an all around great talent and Gloria Estefan has been my idol and when I first began singing, she is all I would sing. I will even sing for you, the first song I sang by Gloria but not as a contestant. This is about my cousin/ Thank you ladies and we love you.

  37. Vellie Marie

i am a 20 year old singer songwriter from Baltmore md music is my life my everything im currently pursuing my music career but just need a push in the right direction in a form of an oppurtunity i am very unique in my style my personality and my music and just need a chance to showcase my self, in my city the market for upcoming singers is very small seeing as theres more of a focus on rap music but i wont let that stop me !! ive worked with alot of rappers doing choruses hooks and features but its my time to shine now and i wanna step into the lime light if given the oppurtunity i could do great things not that i dont already the world just cant see it yet

  38. Blanca Feyjoo

Hi my name is Minister Blanca Feyjoo and I have a great candidate for the Star Next Door his name is Apostle John Miner. He is a Pastor, MC, motivator, singer, song writer, book writer, comedian, and more. Apostle Miner has gist that can be utilized at any time any where. He has wisdom and has dreamed about singing and preaching sense he was a little kid. The reason why I am writing you is because I believe he has always given and is always concerned for others needs and bringing out their gifts and talents yet he is left by himself. I just want my Pastor to get one chance one opportunity to show the world how amazing an individual can be. He has made such a difference in many peoples lives now I am hoping that you can make a difference in his life. The bible says to give honor where honor is due and so I hope this is an opportunity. I am sure he will make sure to give all the glory back to the Lord he is the one who deserves it all. Thank you for this time thank you for this chance.

  39. Apostle J. Antoine Miner

My name is Apostle J. Antoine Miner and I am 36 years old, I am a Pastor, singer, song writer, book writer, motivationalist,

  40. Margarita

Music is the most amazing drug, amazing medicine it is the shelter for the soul. It is darkest when the music doesn’t play which I why I have to follow my passion and share what music means to me. So it can help someone uplift them bring them together.

  41. Andrena Wade

I’m 21 years old. In my 21 years of life I have been through a lot. I’ve been homeless, raped, physically and mentally abused and gave birth to my now 5month old son . Through all of my changes and trials I’ve fought myself about my music. No matter what my music defines me. I love it because of the expression. I’ll cry, scream, live, love, and die throuymy music. That’s the level of music I want to make. The kind I grew up listening to with my parents. I pushed my music to the side for a more “realistic” dream because everyone told me although I was talented my chances were slim. I have nothing else. My nerves and anxiety and depression seep into every other aspect of my life, but those same problems make my music better. There is nothing more natural for me than singing, performing and being true to the self I’d lost so pong ago. All these reasons are why I will fight for this chance. There is no other option for me. I can no longer just give and give up what means everything to me. If I’ve learned anything in my life it’s that if you only have one shot, you have to make it or break it.

  42. Gabrielle VanGenderen

I started singing when I was about 2 years old. I would sing random tunes from movies to my mom and grandmother just to watch their reactions. I truly started singing when my grandma passed away from cancer. It was one of the toughest thing I ever went through. It broke my heart seeing my mom cry and watching her call my grandmas phone just to hear her voice on the answering machine. I want to make my mother proud and also make my grandmother proud by pursuing a career in what I love, singing! If you considered me for a chance to be on this show I promise you I will not let you down!

  43. Abby

I honestly don’t have a heart felt life story of how music was my only escape like most people. My whole life I have known I had an pretty ok singing voice but its not something I tell people. I grew up singing in church in the youth band and I was even in a church singing competition. My mother really pushed me to sing because she told me I had a God given talent and if I didn’t use it id lose it. I had people coming up to me at church wanting me to sing for certain events and honestly I just didn’t want to. I was only around 14 or 15 at the time and being in front of people was just something I didn’t want to do. So, for the past 4 to 5 years I have tried to hide the fact that I can sing I haven’t sang in public or for anyone to hear at least I even started telling people I was retired, but lately its just not working . I find myself singing at work, in the shower, in the car, just about anywhere. Its like I cant get away from the music so I think im finally at a point in my life where I want to sing again. As my mom says use it or lose it and I really don’t want to lose it so I figure its time to grow up and shake off the fear and put myself out there while im still young.

  44. Chris

Singing is my passion, it’s always been the one thing that I’ve always kept true to myself. Whenever I was feeling down I would always make myself feel better with singing. I imagine myself going places as a singer I practice everyday in my apartment to stay fresh and flexed, and c if given the chance to be discovered I will do my best and always give one-hundred and ten percent.

  45. Keshia

I started singing when I was about 8 years old in church. O once had an audition for the show Star Search when I was 13 but my parents put me on punishment so when the producer call I told him I was grounded and couldn’t continue, O then told my parents who called… Let’s just say I wish we had caller id in those days lol.
Another chance would make me fill complete.

  46. Arsenio C.

I’ve been singing and dancing my entire life. But the time has arrived to share my gift of song with the world. If I can inspire one person or 1billion that is my soul mission. For me music is life. I eat sleep and breathe music. I’m grateful for any opportunity to do this what I love. So if given the chance I promise not to disappoint! Thanks for the time taken by any who reads this. Peace, love and blessings to all!

  47. Mike Meyer

I would obviously make an excellent candidate for anything starring Queen Latifah, because I am an artist and she is my muse. Also, I myself am a musician and songwriter. If you consider me you won’t be disappointed.

I lovd to sing! In fact music plays a huge part in my life. It inspires me when I am happy or sad! I would love to be considered because this is such a different and great idea, it seems like y’all are taking the time to work with the talent and actually help our dreams come true instead of just thrownig us in huge lines for someone to not even aknowledge you. I would truly love this opportunity because I care about my music and showing it!

  55. LaAndrea Robinson

Singing is my purpose and each individual has their own. Many years I’ve questioned myself on why was I giving a talent so unique and special, why was I one of the chosen one’s to have a gift that can be so powerful and yet so misinterpreted. Singing to me tells a story, it explains your emotions, the pain, hurt, happiness, sadness, whatever emotion that’s inside you’re heart it gives you the opportunity to express and release it. So the only thing that’s left to say is, I think I should be considered because I want to share my gift with the world, hoping that it touches and inspire someone else to follow their dreams and not give up. I’m 18 years old waiting for my chance to live out my purpose.

I have sung karaoke a few times, not much, but I like the rush it gives you. I also like the chance to be loud and the feeling you get when you’re in key. I was bummed out last night and had nothing to do, so I did a search for karaoke places close by. I found one and rode my bicycle there. When I first came in I was REALLY nervous because I was by myself and knew no one there. Once I heard a few people sing I gained enough courage to look through the book and try to find a song that is on my personal playlist I listen to while working. I finally found one, but I still was wary of getting up there. A conversation got started between a group of people and myself. I told them I was there alone and I was thinking of singing something to cheer myself up. They invited me to come sit at their table and they encouraged me to sign up for a song. I did it and got a standing ovation and several high fives. I nailed it! It felt great.

  61. Diane Asante

Hi, my name is Diane Asante, I am 17 years old and I’m from Newark, New Jersey. I have not always loved singing, because I didn’t think I was good enough. But ever since my mom made join the church choir, I can’t stop singing. By joining the church choir, I learned you don’t have to be loud to be a great singer, but your face has to touch others. That’s what I have been striving for, for the past 9 years. I believe that if you help me achieve my goals, I can touch others with my voice.

  62. Tatiyanna McFarlane

My name is Tatiyanna, I am 15 years old and I’m a member of an upcoming gospel group “Infinity”. This will be a great oppurtunity for us to showcase our talents, since there is no other children in our age group singing for God’s glory. I , on my own, write original songs and I would absolutely love to get my music out there. I know for a fact I have a calling upon my life and I can touch people with the words my Lord and Savior sent to minister to others.

  63. Shane Barnes

Hello producers or whoever is reading this comment,

My name is Shane Barnes and of course like everyone else I would love to be a performer; I mean who doesn’t love the joy it brings to hear people shout your name & the applause from the audience after a performance.
I have been singing since I can remember & I like most people I got a doctorate & played it safe with a career & now I am currently 100s of thousands of dollars in debt. I would love the opportunity to try and pursue what I really love to do everyday of my life. I don’t know if I’m to late for this chance but would love to hear from you.
    Thanks for your time,
    Shane

  64. Bethany Stevenson

I’m Bethany, 21 from Cincinnati Ohio. I’d love to be on The Star Next Door. I get kind of discouraged because opportunities like this are hard to come by, What are the odds of me getting picked.
I think that I’d be great because I am ready, an willing to do whatever it takes to be a success. I love to sing, an I love to hear myself sing lol.. As a child, I grew up bouncing around from family member to foster care, here an there because my parents couldn’t be apart of my life due to Drug Addiction. I had a hard time finding myself, of what I even enjoyed as a kid. I couldn’t quite focus on school, or friends because I was always unhappy, angry, an saddened that my life wasn’t a normal one.. When I got too sad, instead of crying, I’d sing. Really Loud, until my mind is clear of what was bothering me. It helped me focus on things that once were impossible to. Singing became a big part of me as a result. I never stopped,.
Growing up I wasn’t afraid to use my voice, at school, at church, my aunt even let me join her gospel group at age 12. Everybody loved my voice, even if I mess up, that’s how I learned to love myself an my flaws, nobody is perfect. There came a time when I had nothing, no one to turn to, where to go, no where to stay. I went to homeless shelters in my area,, an stayed. I tried my hardest to keep faith in god, but everything was getting too hard to bare with. I’d sit in shelter an sing an cry, until one day a lady had asked if that was me singing in the shower early this morning an I said yes.. She said, well I couldn’t see your face, but that was the happiest “You” I’ve heard all month. She told me to keep singing,,an if iI ever need or wanted to “sing” considering that I barely spoke lol! To come by her bunk. I swear those moments changed me forever. I had a hard time believing an having confidence in myself because of past. I was picked on, bullied, taunted with, talked about my weight when I was on the heavy side, but one thing no one could ever say was that I don’t have a voice..
I know this Is a really long message, but growing up, an going thru these hard times/hardships brought me a long way. I am ready to conquer the world, show my baby brother an sister that it doesn’t matter where you come from, or what you went thru, its all about you an what you can make of yourself..
I think this will be a great opportunity for me, even if i don’t make it,, I’m so ready an willing, dedicated, ready to work, just ready to go hard..
    Good Luck Me…

  65. Michelle Witt

I want to be in the show because ever since I could remember, all I wanted to do was share my God given talent with the world. I have had 6 years private lessons, and have sung publicly at charity events. I recently won a karaoke contest here in MT. People constantly compliment me and wonder why I haven’t pursued this. I have tried but it is not easy. I am 30 years old and I love to sing. My grandmother, who was my biggest fan, died of cancer almost 9 yrs ago and it about killed me. I had a rough upbringing and had i not had the gift of singing and love of it, I wouldn’t be here today. I have a huge range from Alto 1 to Soprano 1. I am the only singer I know who can sing across genres from country to pop to R&B to gospel to rock to Opera to classical, etc. I just want to share my god given talent with the world. I have been through so much and just want to be a role model that someone can easily look up to.

  66. Heather H

Its simple. When I sing, i’m truly happy. It takes me into another world. I would be elated just to sing at a local club on Friday nights lol! Anything involving singing is a dream for me. Let me show you. We can have fun! That’s what its all about.

  67. boomer frazier

I’m just an Illinois bred Signman(that means, i am still in the business that i was born into, a specific job that is the commercial sign business my grandfather started a company in 1933 and I carry that name on in his honor) who relocated to NC in 2000 in search of larger opportunities.
i have always loved singing and have been told many time that i should pursue this passion, I love country music. Garth brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Chris young and Randy Travis are just a few of my favorites. i have a fun infectious attitude and a great sense of humor.

A few years ago i sang “Shameless” by Garth Brooks at the company Christmas party and received a lighter tribute, people say i look like Guy Fiery the renowned chef but I dont see it!, its fun anyway

i can sing multiple generas.. its make me very happy to sing, i would like for someone to tell me if i have the it factor!

Hopefully I’m not too late for this opportunity. I love to sing and I was hoping that one day I could be a great backup singer and work for one of the greats like Beyoncé or Jennifer Hudson. There voices are amazing!… I have been singing all of my life for the church and for concert choir at college. I have had some training but I would love to learn more in order to make my dreams come true!… I hope to hear from you soon! 🙂

  70. Brett Hicks

DREAM!follow my dream some how some way. It has to come from my body right..? Well my voice tells a story that my feet and eyes can tell I find my voice as different one of a kind. When I was in middle school I was in choir as a tenor. A couple songs on the radio that always plays I sing with the words and get the chills. Just like when Fantasia Barino tryed out for American Idol i got the chills and said damn i feel you girl. I just would like to be heard and lets see what the judges say. Never hurts to try . May ilI try

Thank you for your time dearly appreciated
    -Brett

  71. James Huskey

I have heard- “to have a gift and not share it with the world, is not good for the world.” My 5-month-old little girl smiles when I sing to her and all my fears go out the window. I am 26 and have been afraid for too long. I would love the opportunity to share the gift god gave me. I can send a video, track or whatever is needed.

    Thanks,
    James Huskey

  73. Adam Will

I have tried and tried to find my passion at work. I’ve worked from painting boats and traviling the world in the Navy to now working as a cook who can barely pay his bills. But through all my tribes and tribulations I have always had music. It’s my life I sing all the time to the point people call me the walking jukebox. In 34 years old and sing anything from Frank Sinatra to musicals to neil diamond and many more. I would to be the next best thing in the Music industry.

  74. Adam Will

I have worked hard my whole life trying to find my passion. I have always enjoyed singing but never got the opportunity to show off my voice. My passion has always been singing and it will always be that way. I’m 34 years old but I enjoy singing anything from Frank Sinatra, musicals, Neil Diamond, and many more. I would love to be the next best thing in the Music industry.

  75. Lara Kramer

I am a 31 year old stay at home mom who pushes her children to follow ever dream and reach for every star. I am a hypocrite though. I have this amazing gift of singing and this burning desire inside of me and I have never followed through. How can I tell my children no dream is out of reach if I never reached for my own dream. Aside from being a mother there is nothing that makes me happier than performing. I performed for a few years in NYC in a girls group performing at the Tribeca Film Festival and various parks around the city when I was younger. I never felt more alive than I did back then. Since I stopped singing I began writing. I have written over 20 songs. They sit in a folder collecting dust. I am not a diva by any means and get nervous, but I am ready to overcome any fears or insecurities and follow my heart. Nothing would make me happier than showing my children that you are never too old to reach for the stars!
