I sing all the time, at school, in the restroom, in the cafeteria, in the halls, in the gym, out on the football field when im not cheering, basketball games, in the shower, in my room, my backyard, ny grandmas house, in the car, on the bus, when im walking down the street. For years I have been compiling my own song lyrics and I believe that I’m ready to represent my hometown and create songs that will change people’s moods. I have been in love and I have been happy and I have been broken and lonely and writing music is the only thing that’s stayed constant through both the good and the bad. Vanessa Hopson (Vantrece)Hey my names Vanessa and I’m 13 years old turning 14 May 21st.I live in Colorado,Springs,but I was originally born in Olympia,Washington.I go to a district 11 school named Russell middle school, but in a month or so Ill be going into my first year of high school! :)I live in a family of 4 brothers and 3 sisters,and I just had a new born neice.My family is my biggest inspiration for sure.I’m very helpful towards anyone that crosses my path, i just try to give back to the community.I’m in the top choir at my school Antares choir which I had to audition for,and I have been for the past 2 years.Before I was in the sixth grade choir Nova.I’ve been singing a very long time since I could remember, but I was really shy to sing in front of people when I first started.I’ve gotten better at it though,but I just love singing.I auditioned for a high school choir and found out I’ll be singing with higher grades and not my own, so that really made my day.If I had a choice of what to do in the future I would choose to sing.Id sing anything anywhere whether it’s at Wal-Mart,Kingsoopers ,country or r&b.If it’s rap. I’d try changing those parts so that I could sing them,I just practically make it my own.I sing when I’m happy,sad,or mad,or any mood singing just helps me when I need it the most.I’ve never been able to take singing lessons but around the house and choir at school has helped me a lot. I know you probably heard the story million times before but I just wanted tell you that this is really important to me. I live in a family of five children so I have not been fortunate enough to afford singing lessons but singing has been a part of my life a long time. I seen every chance that I could any song that I could. Some great influences on my singing career were artist like Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston and as well as Mary J Blige and Mariah Carey. I don’t have a certain type of genre I like to sing, really anything that has the meaning or purpose or is full of spirit those are the type of songs I like to sing. I’d really like to you have a chance to be on the show because I know some people think I’m really young, and that I really don’t need to be starting a career at this age but they don’t understand how singing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Its something I did for fun but now this is become something I want to do when I grow up this is something I want to do as a career and this could be an opportunity to open my experiences and give me a really good chance for me to open my eyes to a different experience. Singing is my life I do it when I go to sleep I do it when I’m alone, I even sing in the shower and during performances. I’ve been singing literally since sixth grade in my chorus performances as well as other auditions I have done. i’ve been singing my whole life but I have been performing for five years now, and I do a solo in every performance I’ve ever done. Autumn DavisHey I’m Autumn (:. Im not about to write some sob story to get yalls attention because I’m gonna make it one day, regardless. But I will tell you a little about myself. I’m just a small town girl from Drummonds, TN. I’ve been singin since I could talk. My heart will go on by Celine Dion was actually one of my first songs I learned. Im a big titanic fan haha. I love all kinds of music, it comes natural just like breathing. I have been in many singing contests since I was 12. I do alot of karaoke all over town that’s how alot of people know me. Ive been to Nashville also auditioned a couple times for all the tv shows; American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The Voice, Xfactor, Texaco Country Showdown, even had my own concert at the New Daisy in Downtown Memphis. And I’ll continue auditioning and singing until my dream is fulfilled. It’s definitely ridiculous how they do the auditions for these other shows… there’s so many people that should at least get to sing in front of the REAL judges. But, I’ve figured out making it on a show is just like winning the lottery. Youve got 1% chance of even getting acknowledged… Hopefully this show is different. She sings at church weekly, last year she had the opportunity to sing at Bennett College in Greensboro. N.C. after singing the president of the college gave her a full four year scholarship to attend when she graduates. Yes at the age of 10 she has already received a scholarship to college. Growing up I sang in a choir, then as an adult I did some Karaoke and had fun with it, and always wanted it to be my turn again. Evan though my dad is a wonderful parent my sister has had to grow up very fast.
