It remind me of myself, and how I have not given up, despite loosing my father at Fourteen years old, loosing my pregnancy at twenty-one years old. Today Six months later after my loss pregnancy I have found myself again, and am taking the time out to enjoy what Lena actually likes to do, where my happiness is truly at. I have been singing since I was 4 years old, and it has always been a passion of mine, but it never really occurred to me how much I love to sing till I first performed in my middle school talent show. I felt like I was at home and that I was actually being myself. When I perform it is the best feeling in the world and to be able to perform with you and Oprah and all of the other amazing people you have do your shows would be a life changing experience. I feel like I’m failing myself because I’m not acting. I smell it, I breathe it, and most of all I feel it and worse of all I’m not doing it. I’m so full of emotions and need a platform to express myself. You have to see me, always performing in the shower, in the living room, in front of my family and friend. I’m a single mother of three and a very hard worker. I work part time as a bus driver for the city of Lansing and go to school part time for radiology. But I feel like something is missing in my life and it’s acting because that’s what my true passion is. I learn fast and work well under pressure and with others. You may wonder why I’m deciding now to pursue an acting career but it’s because my children have been my cheerleaders and told me to go for what I want. Cheryl A. LathamHi Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey, How are you both? I am applying for a position as an actor because I have always wanted to be an actor since the age of 11. I have a lot to affer as an artist. First of all I believe in God and through his son Jesus Christ I know that all things are possible. I started acting at the age of 13 years old through a local drama class and I continued to act until I was 17 years old, That’s when I paused from acting and decided to get a job and go to work and live as a regular person, but still in the back of my mind I knew that one day I would pursue acting again. In the mean time I continued to work and support myself and I continued to draw and paint pictures and potraits. A few years ago I started acting again, I saw a flyer on the counter of a soul food restaurant and I decided to respond to the casting call to be in a local church play. I performed and I was asked to come back again and again to perform in more of the church plays. As I stated before I love the Arts, I love being an Artist, I love Acting, I love singing and I love what you, Tyler and Oprah are bringing to the world of communities which is more love, more opportunities and more self worth and I would be an asset to this family who is dedicated in making this world a better and productive place to perform the Arts of which displays many talents and creative natures that were meant to be seen and heard and loved by all people of interest.
