Elizabeth PateMy name is Elizabeth Pate, and I am very interested in auditioning for the role of Rachel in the new Star Wars Trilogy. I sent in an audition tape, but I wanted to comment on here as well. I would absolutely love the opportunity to audition for this role. I have always loved the Star Wars films. I was definitely the person who always wanted to jump right into the TV and be on the Death Star with the rest of the cast. I am “that girl” that had every movie memorized and could act out every scene at the drop of a hat. I would always work on my acting skills in the mirror by being the different characters on the set. When I would watch the movies I would cry when Padme would cry and would feel the pain of Anakin when he knew that he had lost Padme. I put myself into their shoes while watching the films, and would be an emotional roller coaster while watching. I have been on stage my entire life. I started dancing at the age of 5, which allowed me to work on acting through my facial expressions and body language instead of using words. This was very useful when I started auditioning for school plays and things like that. I actually landed several lead roles. I have always loved entertaining and acting even at a young age. My heart has always told me to pursue a career in acting, but my mind has told me to be practical. I am in college now in my third year as an education major, and I love every second of it but I still have the longing to do something bigger. I have been looking for different auditions and this is one that has stood out to me the most. I have grown up on Star Wars and could not think of anything better than to be apart of the new trilogy. I would absolutely love an opportunity to audition and convince you that I am perfect for the role of Rachel in the new Star Wars Trilogy. You won’t be disappointed. I can assure you.
