Dan PoseyHello, my name is Dan. I’m not going to to tell you how music is my life but what I will say is this would definitely accomplish my big dream of getting in front of a crowd and showing them what I have. I sing Karaoke very regularly and get told how I have an amazing male country vocal. I sing different styles but what I cater the most to is Country. I sing more of a deeper tone, by such artists as Blake Shelton, Josh Turner, Trace Adkins, and Toby Keith, and I do others as well like Tracy Lawrence, Brad Paisley, Tracy Byrd and a few others. I love to sing and I love to perform, and have been wanting and trying to find a way to get my foot in the door and unfortunately it’s not that easy like I wish it was. My dream has always been to sing and perform with big country stars. All I need is a chance to prove myself and I know I wouldn’t disappoint. I very much look forward to hearing from you? If there is something more I should do to be consider please email me and let me know. 0 Reply July 2, 2012
Ivy RoseIvy Rose is an all-female alternative-rock group that has been together for 3 years. They’ve been working exceptionally hard since they formed and have received great response everywhere they’ve performed, from states all along the East Coast, to Canada and the Philippines. They won a battle of the bands competition in 2011 and opened for Weezer and Ben Folds at the University of Maryland. Most recently they were just on America’s Got Talent–they got cut in the Vegas round but never got a second chance audition and would love for another chance to prove to America that they have what it takes. 0 Reply July 2, 2012

David SievMy band Kisses For Charity would be honored for a chance to perform on this show. Writing and performing music is a passion of our band we would never give up for the world. Being able to touch people with our own music and have them relate to it in their own way is an indescribable feeling. We only dream that one day we’ll be able to touch thousands of kids across the world. One of our primary goals is to tour Asia and Southeast Asia to make a name for ourselves across seas. Why Southeast Asia you may be wondering? Well all of our roots of our family trace all the way back to Cambodia and China. During the Vietnam War, our parents were fortunate enough to escape the Killing Fields and make it safely to America. My father recently made his first trip back to Cambodia, which was life-changing event for him. He couldn’t believe how much the country had grown and prosper within the past 30 years. He mentioned to me that the kids over in Southeast Asia are craving for Western-influence music, and I can’t help but think of the potential our music has across seas. Hard work and discipline are traits that our parents always taught us. With confidence I can say that it shows not only in our music, but in our schoolwork as well. All of us are currently attending the University of Michigan and have been blessed with full ride scholarships. Matt and Mike Tan (my two cousins) were both valedictorian of their graduating high school class and are two of the most dedicated musicians I know. With the right connections/knowledge, I strongly believe we can make our dreams into a reality. I believe if given the opportunity to perform on this show, that door to our dream may open more than ever. I come from a very small town no bigger than 4000 people, but I believe as long as you have the drive and passion, you can make your dreams come true no matter where you are from.Kisses For Charity in itself is a family (literally). My two cousins (Matt and Mike Tan) and I all grew up together with a love for music. Eventually we all came together to start a band with high hopes and dreams. Unlike most bands, we maintain an incredibly busy schedule with constant touring every weekend while still all remaining students with full ride scholarships at the prestigious University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. We have taken full advantage of our new college town with a popular growing name among peers on campus. With a strong vision, knowledge, a dedicated fan base, and the passion for music, I believe our dream could very well become a reality.Having only been a band since March 2011, Kisses For Charity has developed a rapid growing fan base in the state of Michigan and has shared the stage with notable acts. With high-energy shows and catchy hooks, our music has been compared to many popular Pop/Rock bands. We recently released our debut EP This One’s For You and plan on touring the Mid-West with it for the next couple months. Kisses For Charity has proven regional success as a new band by recently winning the Flint Throwdown with a week of airplay on 101.5 Flint, receiving daily rotation on 102.1 WLEW, racking up over 1450 “likes” on Facebook, and sharing the stage with international recording artists including Ryan Cabrera (Atlantic Records), Jon Walker (Former Panic At The Disco), William Beckett (from The Academy Is), Trace Cyrus (former front man of Metro Station) and many others. The name’s a spin off of what the bands actually about. I named the band off an ICarly episode, never aware that the band would actually be all about giving to charity. Before Kisses For Charity was formed as a full band with the line up they have now, I used to put on self-promoted charity benefit shows to help raise money for world wide organizations including Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention, JP.Haitian Relief Organization, Blood Water, Smiles For Christmas, and many more. The amount of dollars and help that Kisses For Charity helped raise so far exceeds well over $2500. As our success continues to grow, I only hope I can continue to help others with my passion of music. 0 Reply July 2, 2012
Madeleine KyerematengHi my name is Madeleine Kyeremateng I am a 14 year old girl, that loves singing and dancing so much, and even a little rapping. I know that me writing to you guys right now is already late, I mean there is a 98% that you guys might not even see my comment. But it would mean so much to me if I be recommended to be an opening act for someone no the less actually be the opening act for a famous star. I have been trying really hard to find auditions, and to get record label companies to recognized me, but it always goes to a dead end. I don’t know if its because I’m young but, if I’m shouldn’t they at least make me their trainee that they train and then I debut later. Anyway if you guys could just consider me it would wonderful. 0 Reply July 2, 2012

Julie PierreHello, my name is Julie Pierre. I am 15 years old, I will be 16 on July 9th. I’m Haitian American. When I first heard about the show Opening Act. I thought it was a God send. It was also on my birthday too. Having a chance to audition for the show would be the greatest gift ever to me. This is something I’ve been dreaming about ever since I was little. At the age of 5, I started to sing. I never anything of it, I just loved doing it. I would do it everywhere I went. Over the years, it developed into something more. Soon I developed a passion for singing, I felt like it was meant to do. I would sing at church, at my glee club, at school, in chorus class. Even on the street, where strangers stop me and tell me I have an a beautiful voice. When I sing, I feel like I am being brought to another world, it’s an amazing feeling. Like when I close my eyes, I can feel it all unfolding right in front of me. The spotlight is on me, I have a mic in my hand, I look out into the audience where I see hundreds and thousands of people screaming my name and cheering me on. It’s indescribable. I can’t imagine myself not singing, because it’s what I’ve been doing for so long. It’s my passion, my heart and soul, my blood and tears. I have had so many dreams about being on a stage and performing to a crowd with thousands of people. I want it to become a reality. I want this chance so bad, I can’t explain it. Having this would be a dream come for me. I’ve tried so hard to get a one-in-lifetime opportunity like this. This means the world to me. I want prove to the whole that I, Julie Pierre, has got what it takes to be a Opening Act. I have to a youtube channel where I post my videos. I would like you to view them. Please consider me to be on the show!! Thank You! From: Julie PIerre 0 Reply July 2, 2012

John HamiltonWe are a band that has been playing Portland or for many years and had been named one of the top Indie bands in country in 99 and had a tune on the Woodstock 99 top indie disc. We feel that we could make any metal band proud if able to open for them. We have had a little airtime and our drummer was in a signed band that since broke up. We are polished musicians and just haven’t had the right break to move us on. Would really appreciate the opportunity to show ya our stuff. 0 Reply July 1, 2012

Everyone wants you to have a ” following “…but how do you get a following if no one ever lets you play ????!!!! I have tried everything known to man to try to get my foot in the door in the music industry, and everything failed ( nothing but scams etc ). I’ve been praying that i could have a chance to be able to sing worldwide and i believe that this is God trying to tell me that its time for that. I’m very aware that there are many talented people wanting to have this opportunity but I ask you to please please consider that person being me. My parents are Guatemalan, meaning I’m Hispanic and in my life I’ve gone through a lot of discrimination and racism and people telling me I will not ever amount to anything because I’m Hispanic. I know I’m not the only person whose gone through this so if you do decide to choose me I know that I could show people all over the world that no matter what race or color you can amount to anything as long as you have God and you have faith. If you give me this opportunity I know that I can make it in the music business and I don’t want this opportunity just to be famous or for the spotlight but I need this so I can help my family because were going through tough times and i’d help those who are also going through tough times. I’ve been praying not only for a chance to be able to sing world wide but an opportunity to help out my family. Derrick OwensI am recommending my son Dane, 24, as a candidate for Opening Act. He is an incredibly talented artist who simply needs the right opportunity and exposure to fulfill his dream of being a successful recording artist. He has completed 2 independent projects and has played in several small venues in Chicago with really positive responses. The music he makes is fresh, imaginative and appeals to a broad audience. It has been described as indie/hip hop. Dane originally began his studies as a pre-med student at Northern Illinois University. Spring break of his freshman year he lost 3 friends in a horrible car accident. A group of ten friends drove to the city for dinner and fun. Dane rode in with Tommy who had a new sports car. After dinner, two other friends wanted to ride with Tommy to their next destination. Dane complied and rode in the car that followed. Tommy and his passengers died that night in a fiery crash. Dane had been in the car behind them and ran to their aid but was unable to save them. Since the trauma of this experience he decided to let go of his plans and work towards his dreams. He has since focused on that dream and has become an incredible music artist. He is studying music engineering at Columbia College and is constantly writing, recording and performing original music. His is not interested in fame, only the opportunity to make a career doing what he loves. 0 Reply June 30, 2012

Beth FrymanI’m the front woman for a LA band called CARRERA. My boyfriend is the lead guitarist and the brain behind our project. He is a brilliant song writer. For 13 years he chased the dream of being in a signed band, but had to give up on his dream in order to work and support his family. After giving up on all his hard work, it was only a few years later that his wife left him with two young boys to raise. They were 3 and 5. Broke and alone, Ruby turned to his music again in order to build himself back up. Now, two years later we have fallen madly in love and are bringing his music back to Hollywood where it all began. The kids love seeing daddy in action and idolize him. We raise the boys full time. This has been a very tough and tight road for us pursuing creative endeavors. However, Ruby is never late, always does homework with the boys every evening, bathes them, provides for us all, and gives more love than any man I believe could. Our band is truly built from true love and redemption. I would be grateful if CARRERA could have a chance to be seen and for my talented boyfriend’s, Ruby, music to be heard. He has given up so much for everyone else and always put himself last. I think that opening act would give the boys and I a chance to put Ruby first. We could show him how much we believe in him and the music he writes and plays. Opening act can help us pay him back for taking care of us and every sleepless night. We can finally say, “Hey Dad, it’s time for you to chase your dream. Not just us.” Thank you for your consideration. 0 Reply June 30, 2012

Aimee CarruthMy name is Aimee Carruth, i’m 17 from Monroe, NC, and i’m an aspiring country singer/songwriter. I’ve loved music my whole life and really hope to be a part of it someday. My story isn’t really sad or inspirational, but it’s definitely real. I’ve always sang since i was a little girl, the choir at church, the car going to the store, and anywhere else i could possibly find. I’ve been in chorus for a year, and will also be in it my senior year. What inspired me to start writing music is really the more intimate part of my life. When i was eight my oldest brother passed away, and i wasn’t really sure how to take it. I bottled it up, and held it all in until i would break, and that became my foundation and inpiration to start writing. When i wrote and still do write, i take what i see other people going through and write about it through my perspective. And when i wrote i found that it served to heal a little of the hurt at a time. I’ve been writing ever since, my words improving with every piece i write. But along with writing and singing, i wanted to learn how to play guitar. So about six years ago i picked up the guitar that was given to my other brother Brett and got a chord book and taught myself how to play guitar. My life other than being in school is music and nomatter what happens in my life it will always be there as my escape.Thankyou so much, Aimee 0 Reply June 29, 2012
Samantha-JoI’m a singer-songwriter for an independent record label called Nu-Lyfe Music, Inc. I’m currently signed as a solo artist under the rock/pop genre. However, the label is going under due to financial difficulties. I play piano & keyboard in addition to singing & writing my own music, lyrics & arrangements. I recently wrote & recorded my first solo single entitled “Happy.” The single is currently available for download on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Google Play, Rhapsody, iHeartRadio, MySpace Music, Zune & eMusic.I was recently offered a spot in an online urban music magazine called WWS Magazine as an up & coming indie artist. I am being featured in an article this month that will be an interview between myself & the media director of the zine. For a brief period of time, I was also one of four members in an all-female R&B/pop group called Haven that is also signed to the Nu-Lyfe label. While in Haven, I recorded a single entitled “All Of Me” that was released in February 2012. Haven was scheduled to go on a Live Nation tour in 57 U.S. cities this summer, but legal issues arose between my producer & Live Nation that caused the tour to be cancelled. Haven has since disbanded. The single that we recorded is available for download on iTunes & CD Baby.I’ll be turning 27 next week. I have worked very hard my entire life to pursue a successful career in music & I have come close several times. But I still have yet to make it in the music industry. Being the opening act for a well-known musician would be a dream come true for someone like me who has struggled for years to become an established singer-songwriter. I’ve worked hard to get where I am & I feel that I deserve an opportunity to put myself out there so that people can hear all that I have to offer. Please check out my music & consider me. Thank you in advance. 0 Reply June 29, 2012

PJ GasperiniI am the drummer of Sugar Red Drive and if we are lucky enough to have this opportunity we would really break through the scene we just need the platform to do so. We have a second record coming out this fall and we have done everything independelty so far. Touring Radio and getting PR. We are a hardworking band who has what it takes to make it to the top and we will do anything to get there. We are a very diverse band with a plethora of hits in the can. If you present us with this opportunity we will not fall short or disappoint . 0 Reply June 29, 2012
Joe SabaMy name is Joe Saba and I am an admitted Polyphonist. I have been Polyphonic since the age of five years. I’ve been performing my vocal sound effects on stage since the age of 13. Most people who have seen me perform cannot believe that a human can make so many sound effects and ones that sound so real too. I have enough material to entertain an audience for thirty to forty-five minutes. My act is different and could fit any entertainment venue. I would love the opportunity to travel on tour and open for any band or comedian. Please consider me as a “unique” competitor for your show. It is not every day that you can see a person who can sound like anything from a cricket to a fighter plane(Prop or Jet or Jet Prop) to an eighteen wheeler diesel truck with air brakes, and over 350 more….Thank you very much, Joe Saba 0 Reply June 29, 2012

I hope you consider me for the show. My music is all over the net. Please consider me. 0 Reply June 29, 2012

christina westI would be perfect for this cause I know how to rock the stage. I luv music its my life and wit dis one chance it could open up alot of doors for me. I’ve been struggling to get on my feet since I was released from prison in 2011. It’s so hard to start over cause no one wants to give a felon a fresh start. Abbie SnowHi there my name is Abbie. I am 17 years old. My friends and family see me making it big one day, and those people are very critical. I sing to myself all day, everyday (not an exaggeration). I have sang in front of a big crowd before and I feel as if I belong on the stage. I have tried out for the X Factor before, but did not make it. I look back on that as a learning experience. I have been told I have an incredible presence on stage and I can’t imagine myself doing anything else. The key to turn my unrealistic dreams into REALITY. Please consider me to be on Opening Act. Thanks! 0 Reply June 28, 2012
Carnell C. Newbill (Spike Rebel)My dream has been to let the world feel the soulfulness in my branding or style of music which most would call it acoustic soul…where lyrics of substance are the focus and hopefully will be appreciated. Maybe through this show I can be found and moved with the right guidance or personel towards my purpose and destiny….which I believe is simply creating good music for the soul. I play many instruments,,,but the acoustic guitar while singing on a stool is my favorite. 0 Reply June 28, 2012

Over the years, it developed into something more. Soon I developed a passion for singing, I felt like it was meant to do. I would sing at church, at Church, and at school, in chorus. I can’t imagine myself not singing, because it’s what I’ve been doing for so long. It’s my passion, my heart and soul, my blood and tears. I want this chance so bad, I can’t explain it. Having this would be a dream come for me. I’ve tried so hard to get a one-in-lifetime opportunity like this. This means the world to me. I want prove to the whole that I, Julie Pierre, has got what it takes to make. Please consider me the to be on the show!! Thank You! 0 Reply June 28, 2012

KINDREDWe are a Christian Rock band and have been steadily working with it now for many years…(with many aka’s but Kindred is sticking). We are all college students with the same dream. Kindred has played many shows in Texas, Louisiana and a few in Nashville, but find it hard to get the big breaks. We were invited to be on America’s Got Talent last season but were unable to go. We would love the opportunity to get our feet in the door and our music on a different level stage. 0 Reply June 28, 2012
Sable JimenezHi my name is sable and i am writing to you for my husband Bryndon. He is a soldier in the us army and aside from fighting for this country and supporting his family in his spare time he likes to sing, write songs and play the guitar he is an all in one musician. He has been into music all his life since before he met me. When he was younger he was in the talent show where he sang “i’ve got friends in low places” by Garth brooks i’ve seen the video he was so cute. He has also sang in church choirs and sang at special events he even performed a song called “to where you are” by josh grobin at the annual tree of angels event in Austin TX for people against violent crime. I wasn’t there because i hadn’t even met him yet but i heard that it was a beautiful performance and that he received great compliments. When we first started dating he wrote a song for me and later on when we moved back to my hometown i put him into a talent show there and he performed in front of a decent sized crowd i know he was a little more nervous because he was singing his song that he had wrote for me plus knowing that i was in the audience watching and recording and of course cheering him on, he even dedicated it to me and our unborn son Noah. He ended up wining 3rd place, that was a great accomplishment for him to receive that and i know that he will never forget that and now he has that trophy to look back on. The thing that makes my husband so special is that he doesn’t just stick to any one type of music he loves all kinds of music and he can sing all types of music as well he is very talented. He loves music it it a very big part of his life, it means everything to him. I know what it is like to sit there and take the time to put your feelings out there and make them into a song because i am a songwriter too and sometimes help him out and it is not an easy task believe me. I think that he would be a wonderful addition if you all were to pick him and you wont be disappointed. I know that it would mean very much to him and to me as well knowing that his dreams would finally be coming true not just for him but for our family. Please consider my husband, Thank you for your time to read this.Sincerely,Sable 0 Reply June 28, 2012

ShantayHello , My name is Shantay and my uncle is a musician, He has been into music for a very long time now and I have seen my uncles talents grow and help urban musicians throughout Ontario in his own developed label entitled BlueBlackMusic. Every 3 months he has a showcase for independent artists called Oh So Beautiful, purpose of this showcase is to put the music back in the musician’s hand in tribute to the great Curtis Mayfield. As a child I watched my uncle struggle through his music and continued to hold onto his passion when no one believed in him. Today I am proud to say my uncle along with his wife make beautiful music together for any stage that they bless. Please consider my uncle as a potential candidate for your show.Thank you for your consideration. 🙂 0 Reply June 27, 2012

Jennifer FaulkI am wanting to nominate this band called PLETHRA. They are really good and I would love to see this group of guys make it big. They all have really good stage presence and are all very talented. They play all over Georgia and everyone loves it when they come to their part of town. Some fans even drive 3 hours just to see them preform. The singer of the band was named Singer/Songwriter of the year for Houston County and surrounding areas. The band members are Chris Nations (Vocals), Ray McDermid (Lead guitarist), Bronnie Turner (Drummer) and Dustin Teel (Bass). Here are a few videos. Hope you enjoy.Plethra…Cover… Tool’s SoberPlethra… Cover… Incubus’ CirclesPlethra… Original… ScarredChris Nations singing I’ll Be for Senior Lead Out for Academy for the Blind’s promThese guys are a great group of guys that do benefits to help raise money for numerous of foundations from cancer, to help raise money for funerals, and also sing for free for school that do not have the funds to hire a band or singer.I really think these guys deserve a chance to show the world the talent they have. Thanks, A HUGE fan Jennifer Faulk 0 Reply June 27, 2012
