Emily EasthamMy son, Garrett, just turned one on Jan 6th. He is a very happy, healthy, outgoing baby. He holds a very special place in my heart as well as everyone he meets. He was born at 26 weeks, doctors weren’t sure he would make it and after having multiple lung collapses and being in NICU for 3 months, we brought him home! If you’d see him today he does not look like a preemie and his doctor even said at his one year check up that he is no longer on the “preemie” charts, he is right on track with a “normal” one year old. His eyes are a heart stopper, he has the bluest crystal clear eyes I’ve ever seen and I can’t take him anywhere and not get stopped just so people can get a look at “those eyes”. I personally have always thought that, but what mom doesn’t think their child is the cutest, then after people have literally started stopping me while out shopping or what not just to get a glimpse of him, I figured why not enter him and see what happens.
