arubAge: 19 Nationality: British Gender: Female Not only would it be completely cliched for me to start this with something like ‘acting has always been my dream’ but it would also be far from the truth. Although I have had an interest in acting I was never particularly passionate about it, rather I was always too shy to take part in such things throughout my childhood, and culturally it was never encouraged. Until recently, that is, as after years of contemplation I have finally realised that this really is what I want to do. Despite the fact that many may consider me a little too old to be watching Disney Channel, I’m not ashamed to say that I’m a huge fan of the shows, especially Good Luck Charlie, which remains one of my all time favourites, with my whole family being a fan of the show as well! I have two sisters and a brother, with very big age gaps between us, (the biggest age gap being around 18 years) so I always felt I was able to relate to the Duncan family, especially Teddy. I think it would be amazing to break stereotypes for young British South Asians, offer something different to Disney Channel and hopefully be a source of inspiration for all around me, to encourage integration and coexistence among all individuals, regardless of race, colour or faith. Again, it would be incredibly difficult for me to put into words how much I love the shows that Disney Channel has provided, and it would be truly amazing to be a part of the team.
