The sports drink company is looking for football players who are wide receivers to be in an upcoming commercial. The commercial pays $5,000.00 for anyone who is booked!About the Project We have all heard of Gatorade, it has become the most well-known sports drinks around. What you may not know is Gatorade was developed back in the late 60’s after a University of Florida assistant coach sat down with a team of the university physicians to figure out why so many of his players were being affected by heat and heat related illnesses. After discovering the players were losing electrolytes and fluids that were lost through the sweat were not being replaced along with the carbohydrates the player’s bodies were using for energy.Soon after the players were introduced to the new concoction ‘Gatorade’ the team began winning and went on to win the Orange Bowl for the first time ever. Colleges began ordering the drink for their teams and it can now be found on the sidelines of more than 70 Division 1 colleges as their official sports drink. Soon after the NFL teams started to follow and Gatorade became the official sports drink of the NFL as well!Auditions will be held on Tuesday, April 26th in Burbank, California. The shoot will be taking place on Tuesday, May 3rd in Los Angeles, California.
