The ’emotional effect’ the series has on me proves the quality of the actors and the story lines (as I normally don’t get sucked into television programmes easily since I always try to retain a “how are they acting”perspective). The actors show such a wide range of emotions, something I would want to try (and I think I can) as well. My parents, my brothers and I myself greatly enjoy the weekly joys and sadnesses that the show brings, and not an episode has passed that has not been broadly discussed and pondered over in numerous ways. Frankly, I believe Game Of Thrones is becoming a second nature at home, since I can already guess what will happen when this fifth season passes: home sadness, for another year without 10 weeks of excitement will have to pass again, before we get to enjoy new episodes. Let’s say that this brings me down to my point, as to why I would want to be a part of this series.I recall watching The Lord Of The Rings and many other fantasy movies with medieval/renaissance settings, and I recall an 12 year old me wishing upon a star to star in such a show myself one day. So much for the dreaming: I would not describe myself as much of an actor, but I know that I grow and that I can do very well when I put my heart into it. For this opportunity, I would gladly travel to Siberia to do it. Game Of Thrones is a series with beautiful complexity, great photography, enthralling characters and a majestical plotline that has kept me on the tip of my chair from day 1. My bitten-off nails will provide sufficing testimony to that last statement.Hopes and dreams, as I believe, are to be kept alive if we wish to grow as a person during every single day of our lives. Corny "G" KwakI… am leaving this comment without any expectation of getting called or something like that. Even typing this I feel myself very ridiculous. However, thinking that world has been inspired and changed by some ridiculous actions, I leave my comment here. I’ve never acted in a huge production but I have always known that I love — just love — acting. It have been the power and drive of my life so I could not give up talking yi my self alone whenever I was alone at home. I kept thinking about dialogues and I kept speaking out them in different voices with different accents. To be honest, I am not English speaking person; my mother tongue is Korean but I trained myself to speak English in different accents(northern part of uk, “queen’s english,” usa-like, alabama-like accents, european-like, and asian speaking) and still learning and practicing more in specific langauge alone. Yes, it sounds like a total dork so I tried myself to hide it in front of my friends. It has been a great test for me to hide what I truly am. Maybe I was lack of confidence or do not think that my time doesn’t reach me, yet. Whatever the reason is one thing that I’m sure is that I am doing this stupid thing just for a staw of hope that this might give me a chance for actual acting or, at least, for thinking about what I truly want. Of course I love the show, nonetheless to say. But what I really love about it is that it is a perfect summary and honest revealation of human nature. Everything is so real and authentic, convincing. Moreover, the fact that such authencity and variety is done by wonderful actors, staffs, and directors gives me chill and… I don’t know, some unexplainavle feelings. There is no way to describe the greatness of the show and there is now word to deacribe my feelings to it. I… am 21 (probably 20) girl with a height of 168cm. My weight is not, haha, that what I proud of but I can tell you that I am in good shape in different way (not slim or thin way). I was a late comer in terms of watching GoT but became completely addicted so much so that I binged watched for every night until I had caught up….finally I understood what the hype was all about!! Angus YellowleesI’m a 22 year-old English Literature student graduating from Glasgow University this June. I’ve extensive acting experience in youth, student and semi-professional theatre (Two-Squared theatre productions) and although this has mostly involved stage work, I’m currently filming for an independent short film to be submitted to various festivals. I am also writer and director of New Works Festival winner, STYX, which will run during the Edinburgh Fringe this year from the 7th to the 22nd of August. My parents are both English and I grew up in the Scottish Borders and as such I have a naturally ambiguous accent and have perfected general Southern English (RP) and various Scottish dialects (Edinburgh, Midlothian, West Coast) as well as a general Northern (South Yorkshire). These, I think, would be apt for the Known World accents, considering HBO’s casting so far. I’m a high-level trampoline gymnast with good physical fitness, I have been trained in stage combat and have worked extensively as a children’s entertainer and street/festival juggler using fire, knives, balance apparatus and diablos. As such I have become a physical, coordinated actor who is happiest when pushing beyond his comfort zones. I loved expressive arts in school, however, and always took part. I enjoy reading, singing, and working out. Michael GatesI will say right off the bat that I am unexperienced but every time I watch Game of Thrones I get this fire-like passion that eats away at me daily. I can’t really explain it but all I can say is that I would give my all and more if I was given a chance at this. Emily ThorntonGame of Thrones is a series full of intrigue. I think I would be able to play a character in it because it demands that characters display a range of emotions and personalities that are not fixed and flat, but respond to increasingly challenging and sometimes unbearable circumstances. Characters, effectively, are not one- dimensional, good or evil, but incredibly nuanced. This is something that I believe I could bring to a part of the series.As well as this, it would be interesting to explore the political, cultural and moral issues present within the fictional medieval society as I believe they are issues that, although different, mirror some that are still existing in our modern society.
