Well first of all, what a dream come true it would be to perform with some greats such as Kelly Clarkson. I’ve been following her career since she won Idol. I too am starting out like her with a dream to perform on the big stage filling the room with music for those who will listen. Singing is my first love and I couldn’t imagine my world without singing. I have huge dreams for myself, but at the end of the day…just being able to be a consistent working performer is what I will continue to strive for until the end.

Thank you for allowing people like me the chance to continue to following our dreams. 🙂

  2. Lizann Warner

Hi! I would love to audition. I have been singing professionally for over 15 years. I have had some success here & there, but not on a major level. My voice is on some video games like Guitar Hero 3 [singing “Barracuda” & “Hit Me Withe Your Best Shot”] and recently I landed a jingle on TV for Sandals Resorts, where I am singing: “My Blue Heaven”…but that’s about it. I know I’m perfect for Duets because I am great at harmonies [I do a lot of backing vocals for karaoke manufacturers], and harmonies are key to any good duet! Here’s a video of me singing Adele’s song: “Someone Like You”…
…Hope to hear from you! – Lizann 🙂

  8. John Amato

I have been singing for 20+ years and I am no stranger to being on stage or TV.
I feel I have a unique blend of Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake to my voice and
if given the opportunity,I can bring something new and fresh to “Duets”.

  9. Paige Geist

As cliche as it is, music is my life. It’s what I wake up to in the morning, what keeps me sane throughout the day, and what lulls me to sleep at night. I have a bachelor’s degree in vocal music education, but unfortunately, times are tough (as we all know) and I am currently without a job. That being said, what better time to chase my dream, right? Right.

I was skeptical about “Duets” until I heard the lineup of professionals that were going to be on the show. Seriously. How can you go wrong with John Legend, Robin Thicke, Kelly Clarkson, and Jennifer Nettles? I started watching the show and fell in love. The more I watch, the more I want the chance to be on the show. I would be honored to have the opportunity to sing with any of them, and I would love to have that opportunity. ; ) I’ve been singing since I can remember, and although I can be shy about it at times, I love it oh-so-much. My mom actually used to make me sing “The Lion Sleeps” at karaoke when I was a bitty. (I don’t know what made me think of that…or why I shared it. Guess it just seemed relevant.) I’ve been in choir since grade school, and I love making music with people – hence the degree. I like all kinds of music from jazz, to soul, to R&B. Country, bluegrass, classical. I don’t necessarily know which genre/style my voice best lends itself to, but I don’t know that I care. I sing what I like…what speaks to me. I would love to do that for a living. I would especially love to get my start with some of the most talented musicians in the industry.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
    : ) Paige

I believe that I should be on this show because, I have a awesome talent that I would love to share with the world. It has been my all time dream to sing with John Legend. I promise that you won’t regret picking me.

  12. Stacy Lombardo

I have been singing since I was in the 4th grade (I am 23 now.) It would be a huge honor to sing with any of the legends (no pun intended). I love performing and sing in various genres of music. 13. Julie Baker-Anderson

I’m a music teacher, but my first love is singing and performing. People have told me all of my life that I am in the wrong place and should be making a career out of singing. I would love to have that chance.

  14. tomelle treadway

The first time I saw the show, I knew I wanted to audition . I would love a chance to sing for you. I have a wide range that I feel will be an asset on the show.

  15. tomelle treadway

For years, family & friends have encouraged me to audition for the various “talent” shows on TV. I wasn’t sure it would be a good fit, until I show this show for the first time. I would appreciate an oppurtunity to sing for you.

I have a wide range of songs I perform well from Martina McBride to Alanis Morisette. I think that would be a great asset on this show. I would love to share my voice with you.

  16. Julie Baker-Anderson

All of my life, people have been asking me “why are you teaching? You should be a famous singer.” Although I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching music, I must admit my first love is performing. My plan all throughout my life since I was young, was to sing. But, when I had a family, put singing on the back burner and decided teaching music was the next best thing. However, the urge to try and have a career still gnaws at me. So, decided I would take a chance and share some of my work here. I would be so grateful if given the chance to sing on this show. It would be a long life dream come true.

    Thanks for listening!
    Julie

  28. Simone Cabil

Hi, I’m that girl that everyone sees being all over the place but actually I’m not!
I consider myself a singer and I have ever since I had my first karaoke machine.
My voice might not be as good as Beyonce’s or as powerful as Kelly Clarkson’s but thats the point. Everyone needs that one person to show them that you don’t always start at the top like most people. Im 15 and I have the heart of a determined singer, and the brain of a smart singer.
If i had a chance to show the world that all you have to start with was a determined and smart young lady who has a dream
I think I could change millions of lives
Just give me a chance to show that than I promise you I will give it my all!

  48. Haillie Williams

I’m 18 years fresh out of high school but I’ve been singing since I was three. I’ve been in local competitions in my town and many theatrical productions. I can harmonize pretty well since being in choir for the past 4 years has taught me much. Many people have compared me to Miss Beyonce Knowles and/or say I remind them of her. I want to sing, I want to perform, I want to entertain. I give it my all in every performance leaving people with wanting more. This is what I want to do and I couldnt imagine doing anything else.

  53. Jaye Lamb

Singing has always been a passion for me. A way to express my sorrows, happiness and just have a fun time doing it. I’m normally a shy person, but singing has helped boost my confidence in dealing with difficult situations. Kelly Clarkson I feel has the best voice I’ve heard in years. It would be an honor and privilege just to be on the same stage with her let alone sing a duet.
I’ve been a police officer now for 29 years and during that time I have been the unnofficial vocolist for my department. I’ve been asked to sing at baseball, hockey games, benifits for several charities. The most challenging events I’ve always been asked to do is the veterans and police officer memorials. Very sad and somber event but always willing to participate. I’ve been asked to sing several times the national anthem which every singer knows is the most difficult song in the world to do. So far, no mistakes HaHa. Knock on wood.

Since I’m getting up in age and my police career is almost over I would love to pursue my other goal and sing in front of a live audience and if possible sing with Kelly Clarkson. Looking forward to your response.

    Jaye

  55. Kimberly Roulin

Hi, my name is Kimberly Roulin from Richmond, CA and well, I am what you would call a “late bloomer”. Having been married for 20 years in a dysfunctional relationship that ended horribly and almost killed my spirit and left me with extremely low self–esteem, I survived! Through the help and prayers of family and support of friends I found the strength to get pick myself up again. A karaoke buddy asked me to sing back-up for her in a rock/soul/funk band. It was great therapy and perfect for me because I’m always most comfortable NOT being in the spotlight! I did that for two years, and that experience helped me to develop harmonies, and dabble in lyric writing. But the most inspiring moment for me was right after Michael Jackson’s death. I was home sitting on the couch and feeling down, watching TV, June 29th to be exact! They were showing music videos of all the great songs of Michael Jackson. That day I wrote my very first song and was inspired to write more. That moment encouraged me to take a chance, to stand out- expand my musical horizons. Before you knew it I was singing in front of people, standing on my own two feet. With the support of a new man who encourages me, I believe I have something unique and special in my voice. I left everything and everyone I know, as well as a job that I had for 10 years and moved to Los Angeles to take a chance on a dream. I never imagined that I would even be in this position or have the courage to submit to audition for a show like DUETs. But THIS is how much I’ve grown in such a short time. Not to mention that I would love a chance to sing a duet with John Legend or Robin Thicke. I think all the mentors on the show are incredible, Jennifer Nettles and Kelly Clarkson amazing big voices. But my vocal styling I feel is more in line with Robin and John. Even though I may be a little older (don’t look it) :o), it feels like my life has only just begun. Especially now that the industry is more accepting and friendly to curvy women like Adele, I feel that there is hope for me!. All in all I can truly say that the end of my marriage was the best thing that could’ve ever happened for me. Out of the pain and suffering I experienced I found my VOICE!
    Thank you and God Bless.

  57. Bailey Hayes

Hey my name is Bailey Hayes. I’m 16 years old. I live in Culpeper, Virginia. I’ve been singing pretty much my whole life. Whether it be in church choirs, school choirs, A capella choir, musicals, or even just for fun around the house or in the shower. I was diagnosed with tourette syndrome when i was in the 3rd grade, I’ve been coping with it ever since. When i sing, it’s like im in another world. I Just goes away. It’s amazing how it works. I guess it’s because I just absolutely love to sing 🙂 My idol is James Durbin. As you may know he also has tourette’s… And also sings. When I first saw him on American Idol I was astonished because he is in the same boat I am in. It’s amazing how things work out to inspire you. Well if you want to hear me sing… Since that’s what im really typing this for. Email me. Thank you very much!

  58. Brittane Lewis

I’m a classically trained, degreed opera singer who also sings jazz, R&B and latin music as well. I work as an event planner, private voice instructor and volunteer choral conductor. I would absolutely love the opportunity to study under any of the four superstars in an effort to further hone my singing abilities and bring a little more light to the world through humanistic music, something that ties us all together.

  59. Mia/Dezzi

    Hello Duets
This message comes from the mother of a college student. My daughters dream is to be a singer, she is currently enrolled in college(FAMU) studying music. I think she will be a great contestant on duets. Lots of stage presence and a strong voice but most of all these college bills are piling up and I could use the help of a daughter getting paid for the only thing she has ever wanted to do….sing! Got any auditions coming to Nashville or Tallahassee FL?

  60. Chloe

I may not be very popular, and in my opinion I’m not even that good, but ever since I saw the show, I’ve felt crazy. like I need to do this. Singing is all I’ve ever wanted. It’s my passion. In my heart I need to do this. It may be just because I’ve wanted a purpose, or to find that purpose, but I still would do anything for this. I sing in my church choir, and everyone I know says that I should try out and that I sound like an angel, but I’ve never listened to them. If this works maybe my dad would see that I’m not useless. Maybe I can be better than they say and be something and succeed at it. I’ve never been anything, but I would love to try and not give up. I’m 17 years old and live in a small town in East Texas, and maybe if I had something to sing, I would, But my camera’s broke. If my family found out I’m trying this, they’d probably kill me, but I don’t really care anymore. All I want to do is sing.

I’d like to think that I could hold my own along side these great talents. I hope you will consider me when it comes time to audition. Thank you so much.

I have waited so long to express & share with the world The natural Gift that God has given me. I know I have what It Takes to be apart of this show, If only given the chance. I pray that I will here from someone soon. Thank You & God Bless!

  66. Falanna

I have been singing since the age of 3 years old & singing in my church choir all the way to my adult hood. I was blessed by God with this natural talent. I live, sleep, breath singing. My talent was meant to be shared with the world. I have been pursuing my singing career for 14+ years. I then stop to raise my two beautiful daughters as well as take care of my two nieces & nephew, whom I have adopted. I put aside my dream & passion I have for singing, to assure that my children can have the best life a child or children suppose to have growing up. I have a burning & a yearning sensation that I can no longer ignore, & that is to sing. I can’t no longer sit on the gift that god has given me. I know That I Am & Have What You Are Looking For. I Pray That You Will Give Me A Chance To Prove It. I pray that my dream will begin on your show. Thank you & God Bless.

  69. Hunaidah

I would REALLY like to be on Duets, but unfortunately, I’m only 10 years old! Please answer my question how old do you have to be in order to be on that show? First, I would LOVE to sing with Kelly Clarkson, and I think that I have a pretty nice voice but NEVER better than Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, or Jennifer Nettles!!

  70. Dawn Turlington

My partner Vince and I are singers in the St. Louis area. We are a working duo who sing every genre. When we sing together it is pure magic, and our audience thinks so too. In fact, they will not leave us alone about auditioning. We get standing ovations, especially when we sing “All I Ask of You” for the Phantom of the Opera.” If you want to hear truly beautiful, rich, and pure voices, call us. You’re in for a treat! We want the whole world to hear us!!

  71. The Swon Brothers

We are a dynamic Duo that have true sybling harmony. We have grinded out gig after gig written song after song and just want 1 fair shot at being who we were born to be together …..the best country music duo to take the stage in years! A Brotherly bond that can’t be broken would love to share the stage with duet’s great mentors! Give us the mic and the stage and we won’t disappoint. Ages 27- and 23.

  72. Chantaul Williams

My name is Chantaul Williams and I am a 20 year old singer/songwriter who lives and breathes music! I left college last year and am now a full-time artist, making new music, paying my dues in clubs, social events and anywhere else I can get a gig… I simply love to sing and perform! I would love the opportunity to be on “Duets” because every gig, lesson and sleepless night I have had for the past 5 years has prepared me for a phenomenal opportunity like this! I love music more than anything else in my life, and I am such a fan of phenomenal artists. I saw some of the artists that will be on your show and I would LOVE the opportunityto perform with them. I am a serious artist who is ready to get out there and make it happen in a VERY big way! Your show is a great vehicle for both my career and for your show to discover a great new and unique talent! That is the passion, talent and emotion that I would bring to Duets! Thank you!

  73. David Stanford

I have watched your show and feel very good about what you are doing. I have been singing since I could walk, and believe that it is my destiny. I have been known as the “human jukebok” in karaoke circles. All I need is the opportunity to show what I can do on a national level. Please consider me for your show…I will submit whatever you need from me ; i.e. Cd, Pics etc.

  75. Karen Betts

I am a southern bell from Mississippi but have spent the last 12 years in East Tennessee with my great husband of 22 years. I married when I was just 16 years old and have 3 beautiful children that I have pushed to go after their dreams while putting mine on the back burner. Now that my children are fulfilling their dreams, it is my turn. Singing since I was about 5 years old, I know that singing is not something that someone” just does”, but it is what one “IS” ; a “soul thing” ! Please give me that opportunity to share what God has given me with others. I have it and I want to give it… and I can bring it!!!!

    Thank You,

    Karen P. Betts
