Duets - ABC

An all new singing show is coming to television this summer and this time the game has completely changed. Like other TV singing shows Duets will feature 4 of the world’s most talented singers as judges, but now these superstars will be singing with you! Casting is starting soon on the most exciting singing competition experience ever so get yourself in the game.

The Duets amazing judges / duet partners for season one will be American Idol champion Kelly Clarkson ( 20 million records sold worldwide and 10 Top Ten hit singles), Grammy Award winning Sugarland lead singer Jennifer Nettles ( 15 million records sold worldwide, 8 number 1 singles), 9 time Grammy winning R&B superstar John Legend and singer songwriting sensation Robin Thicke ( writer and producer of over 20 platinum and gold albums)! This is by far the most talent packed lineup ever and they want to sing with you! The judges will searching the country for the special people that they want to sing with and mentor.     Hello nicky knox here also known to some as the singing cashier working for rotten robbies in Healdsburg CA i had many costimers that came into our store just to hear what i was singing becuase they knew that i was always singing somthing,music is how i release all the joy in my soul i have always had a bit of stage fright but when i would be singing at work just belting it out and costomers would come in and tell me how beautiful i sing,or thank me for making thier day becuase it never mattered what was going on in their lifes they knew that they could come to the store and have thier spirits lifted it has helped me to get through my fear of an audiance and im am ready so very ready to get on your stage and share with you and every one there whats in my soul!!

I sang since I was a little girl but tragedy changed my life and my family so I soon stopped. I then lost myself and my voice but it is slowly returning. I’ve always dreamed of being on television, and my dream almost came true when I auditioned at the age of 8 for Disney Channel and made it, but my parents did not want me to move all the way to California at the time at such a young age. Now 8 years later, I am trying to make this dream come true again, and I would be honored if I were chosen to be on any show. I am an aspiring actress, singer, dancer, and musician, but singing is my passion. I have been a part of the recent Pre-Inaugural Day of Service Event, and I perform a many places including weddings, funerals, and parties.     It only takes ONE –YES–I refuse to leave this life without knowing this momment. I write in a multi genre. I have put 70 songs in the library of congress. My Dad sang barbershop and taught me perfect pitch and harmony.     Hello, I am 22 years old and honestly I just need to express myself through my God given talent. Someone once told me that it best to have a career in what comes natural to you, therefore for me….its singing. I possess many other talents as well but I feel an opportunity such as showcasing my singing talent will open the door. I grew up singing at church since I was little on to the youth choir at my church. Once I became an adult, I sung with the adult choir then stopped. Overtime, when I started college…I joined a Classical Voice class and it was challenging yet amazing. My voice developed even more and I even found my sweet spots in my voice while gradually being more comfortable on stage. Being on stage is a indescribable euphoria type feeling. In conclusion, the opportunity would be spectacular.

    My first “gig” was my sister’s baptism at age six, and I have not stopped singing since!! My Mom has been a big Lionel Richie fan for like…forever! And has often commented on how some singing compatition (show) should sign him on as a judge. At 17 years of age, I couldn’t agree more with her opinion, and was very excited to see that someone in the industry had finally come to their senses. Please give me the opportunity to audition for “Duets”. I have sung as a soloist competitively, as well as with select choirs. I would be thrilled, and honored to to have the chance to sing with some of the greatest the industry has to offer (not to mention the fact that meeting Lionel Ricci would make my Mom’s life complete).     I’m a 31 year old wife and mother of two beautiful little girls. I like a lot of people have been singing my whole life. I started off singing in church and absolutely love it. When I was in high school I was offered the opportunity to sing on a song for a local rap group and was not allowed to do so by my mother. That group actually went on to receive a recording contract by a major record label. I understand my mothers reasons for not allowing me to do it, however a part of me still wonders if something may have come out of it for me. As an adult, I was once under a local entertainment label. Unfortunately, things with them did not work out. Once that happen I felt like it wasn’t meant to be and just left it alone. Last year I was involved in a car accident and in turn ended up severely injuring my back. I ended up losing my mobility, job, and self-confidence. I had to go through a lot of treatments and pain but by the grace of God things have turned around and I am doing so much better. I have very little manageable pain now and have just started my new job. After going through all of that it made me change my entire outlook on life. Life is too short! The small things that we take for granted can be taken from us at any given time. That’s how I feel about life and my singing talent as well. I would just like the opportunity to see if something can come from it. I love singing. I love soulful music, that music that is timeless. I know that God allows everything in life to happen for a reason, so if it’s meant to be, it will be. I wish everyone out there the best and maybe I will have the chance to be on a stage near you one day.

    I am a 27 year old music teacher in Austin,Tx and music has been apart of my life since the age of 6 yrs old singing in my church choir. Singing is a way to connect with others like no other its like when you hear someone sing or perform you can feel their body and soul. I believe that singing is good for the spirit is healing and a way to relate to other people even when its hard to express your true feelings with music you can do that. This is what i tell my students that with music there is no limitations and that its good to explore all aspects of music which shows good musicianship.     my name is deontray but everyone calls me tray. im 16 years old. i live with my mom and my little sister at my grandmas apt. we don’t have very much money and i have always used my music to escape my problems. right now im going through some problems in my life and i feel as if my life isn’t going anywhere and that scares me. my future is my worst nightmare but my singing is the only thing that calms me down. i can play the guitar and the piano. my favorite genre of music is r&b but i can sing different types. i have landed every audition that ive ever audition for but i really couldn’t do much about it because o the money to go to places to perform at the showcases i landed a spot in. if you consider me for duets you wont be sorry i promise. i know everyone probably says stuff like this all the time but music is the only thing ii have in my life that i can believe in.     I was singing before I could talk & to this very day it’s always been what I’ve always wanted to do for the rest of my life & although I’ve had to think realistically & find & work another occupation I’ve never lost that one day, if I keep working hard & never give up, I’ll end up living my dream & my finally my life. After all if you never try you’ll never know what you’re capable of & what do you have to lose but knowing? It’s something I’ve always wanted to at least try to succeed at doing or be able say I did that & just because I may not win doesn’t mean I’m not a winner or that it’s the end. I’ll never up on my dreams! I’ve been told countless times by many different men & women of all ages & music preferences that I’m quite good & now I, lmyself think that I’m ready to compete & win, God willing!!!!

    I loooovvvveee to sing. Music being a language spoken worldwide, it comes up in many conversations. this leads to people asking if you sing. I always hesitate before I answer because I have to think about whether or not I’m about to embarrass myself when they ask me to sing. I’ve never had any vocal coaching or anything. My siblings and I all love to sing together. It’s when we have the most fun together. I’m never more confident than when I’m singing.

The kids and I make a habit to do it especially on the car ride in to school/work. I feel singing has a lot to do with emotion. Singing for me is fun, energetic and carefree. This would be an amazing experience.

    Im 21 I’m from Lancaster CA and i have been singing since i was 4 years old. recently i got my associates degree in Recording Arts from the Los Angeles Recording School. I have spent this ear performing at open mic nights and at karaoke bars. i love the feeling of performing in front of people because of the approval i get from my listeners. i have audition for the voice and American idol but have been told i wasn’t ready because i let my nerves get to me but I’m ready I’m confident and am willing to prove myself to you all.

    How do you apply? I guess I was supposed to write why I should be considered huh? Well My name is Judith. I’m 18 years old and always thought I was meant for something big. I can’t wrap my head around it, its just a feeling you get. Obviously I need to work hard to get what I want to achieve but I never really had a chance. I was the lead vocalist at my church, and have been taking some private vocal lessons at the University that I’m attending Utah. I’m originally from Las Vegas, but had decided to move to start fresh right out of High school. Right now I’m completing my Pre-req’s for the Nursing program, but in reality my first choice is Vocal Performing. I’m currently working as a CNA at a rehab center. I have what it takes to be signed with Hollywood records. I just need to show them what I got, and I need the mentoring of Kelly Clarkson to give me that push start. I hope that I get chosen to at least have the opportunity to perform in front of Kelly Clarkson.

    I’m Jordan Arrasmith, I’m 16 years old. Singing has always been apart of my life since I was a child. I sing every single day for hours just to let out all of the pain I receive daily. I don’t have the most friends, or family support. But one person who would love to see me make it would be my grandpa. He has always been behind me in my music career and I want him to watch me get far with it before he passes. He is the only person in my life who has true faith in me. As said before, I get little attention in my music dreams because people take music so seriously. I don’t have parents to support me. Just my grandpa unlike the other musically involved students in my school which makes it harder to achieve my dream. I would love to sing with any of the judges, but I feel like my voice would fit best with Kelly or John. Singing has helped me through all of it. I love to make up some songs too. 🙂 I absolutely am a people person. I love to help in any way I can. I’m the kind of person that would not only give the shirt off of her back, but I’d give MUCH more if it would help some one. I’m %100 coachable and even if I didn’t win, you can bet I’d still go on and keep trying!! I have a much different singing voice compared to my speaking voice which surprises most people that hear me. I would love to do this.     Hi. I’m from the island of Jamaica and I currently live in U.S.
    Music has always been an influence in my life and at a tender age of 5 yrs old, I was on a popular talent contest show in Jamaica. I was the youngest semi finalist that the show had at that time. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish my song because the crowd was overwhelming for me. Since then I’ve been living my life in “what ifs.”
    This has been over 20 yrs and I need to face my “what ifs.” I have been hiding my talent and I’m ready for one shot at my childhood dream. I can’t continue to live with this guilt.
