Acting legend Burt Reynolds is gearing up to film a new movie called “Dog Years” and casting directors are holding open call auditions for small roles and background extras. The actor, who was nominated for an Academy Award has an impressive 150 acting credits. Auditions are being held in Knoxville, Tennessee on May 26th

About “Dog Years”

The story revolves around an aging, former movie star who is forced to face the reality that his glory days are far behind him when he’s invited to receive a lifetime achievement award from a tiny East coast film festival. Embarrassed by the low rent event, he bails on the award and forces the emotionally unstable girl assigned to be his driver to take him on a soul searching tour of the landmarks of his youth.

What They Are Looking For

Casting directors are holding another round of auditions for the film.  Auditions were held last week in Knoxville, if you attending the previous auditions, you do not need to attend again.  They are looking for actors who are local to Knoxville. The movie will begin production sometime next month, so they don’t have shoot days yet.

Knoxville, auditions will be held on May 26 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Alley on Kingston Pike.

Actors who attend the audition must bring a headshot, resume, and a piece of paper with their name, email and phone number printed large enough so that it can be seen in a photograph.
