The original price for photos and acting classes were closer to around $3,000 dollars. The production was willing to comedown that much in there price. KatherineI am 23 years old, no one can guess my ethnicity but they always assume I am some mix of indian or russian. The closet celebrity I can think of that would be comparable would be samaire armstrong or olivia wilde. I always get told I look like exotic princess or a magical genie and everything else along those lines. Im very spiritual and connected to the romance and passion of arabic culture. My singing voice is very strong and its my vessel to convey my grand colors of emotions. Logan BryantI love singing and acting, and have some experience in Disney musicals. My local theater put on a performance of Mulan Jr., in which I was Yao. I’ve seen almost every video of this show on YouTube, and feel as though I would be a good candidate for the role of Genie or Jafar. For Genie, I already sing Prince Ali and Friend Like Me all the time. I also love the character, and am able to pull off the jokes, as well as add some of my own. I will happily joke about everything from the President to Justin Bieber. For Jafar, I have a lower voice, which is better suited for villain roles, as most heroes are tenors. I can keep a straight face when confronted with the antics of Genie, of course I would likely break during rehearsal a few times, it’d be hard not too. Once if front of an audience, however, I would lose myself in the character, and have a much easier time keeping a straight face. I can pass for other races such as Latino, Dominican, black and Asian, Native American, etc. I’m 5″7. I’ve had a lot of opportunities come my way in the past but have not been able to take them. I’ve been told I have a cute face for television. I have a beautiful smile, and dimples to top it off. As a child I was very shy and outspoken. Music gave me a voice. I’ve been playing the flute for 6 years. I play the piano also. While others my age are with their friends I am at home practicing on my keyboard. Singing is my passion. I moved to Los Angeles from Saint Simons Island, Georgia when I was 19 to pursue creative and fun career opportunities! It has been a beautiful adventure and I’ve learned so much about myself and what I want to do. My first job was as a teacher’s assistant at a Sunday School/Day-Care when I was 14 and my kids decided one day that I was Princess Jasmine from Aladdin and it made me so happy that I made a costume that day and took a picture holding a rose, having fun feeling like a Princess! I still have the photo on my photobucket! I always loved fashion and being in front of the camera, so when I first moved to LA I was naturally drawn to fashion modeling and lucky enough to be 5’8 with standard fashion measurements. (I get called short sometimes!!!) Lately, more than ever I have been forgoing some modeling jobs in the passionate pursuit of furthering my dance education. I have been dancing since age 6 and I have trained in many styles including– ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, and belly-dance. I even recently ventured a bit out of my comfort zone and took some Burlesque classes in Hollywood and learned some really hot moves! It was fun! Speaking of comfort zones… I’ll admit “A Whole New World” is a big song for my soft, bright, not-so-epic voice. Growing up I had soo many interests and never knew quite exactly what I wanted to do! I’ve always been beyond obsessed with MUSIC and DANCE and (like most people) I not so secretly long to be a rockstar! I recently accomplished my goal to record atleast a few songs that I wrote by my 21st birthday and after much hard work, I can happily say I am finally really proud of My songs and my voice! My songs are mostly alternative/pop-punk inspired. My guitar player actually saw me hula-hooping at a music festival and insisted I move to California to let my talent shine! He’s become a wonderful friend and creative partner. After covering a song by my favorite band and my first ever concert (name omitted) I was lucky enough to meet a new roommate who is good friends with the Band and the guitar player and I fell in love… Ok, so maybe he hasn’t spoken to me since he left to go back on tour, but I’ll never forget the little time I had with him because it completely changed my life and my heart– I never knew I could love anyone so deeply and so much. I have taken over five years of Tae-Kwon-Do (martial arts) along with one year of regular self-defense classes and one year of sword fighting lessons. I have also had over five years of formal dance training in ballet, and I have also had over four years of dance training in a mixture of modern, lyrical, and jazz dance. I have been a part of many dance concerts and have been the soloist many times so I am good under pressure. I have also taken singing lessons. Singing is a huge passion of mine. I have taken drama at my school; portraying emotions and memorizing lines were always my strong points. I have done many unusual sports in the past. I have experience in ice skating, archery, and colorguard/winterguard. Colorguard and winterguard are sports that I have been in for six years or nine seasons. Colorguard is the sport where girls go out on a football field at half time and spin and toss flags, rifles, and sabres into the air with the marching band. Throwing things up into the air and catching them are what I do best. Winterguard is a little different in the fact that it is just the guard that is performing- no marching band- and it’s indoors. Both my colorguard and winterguards compete in nation wide competitions and we perform in front of extremely large crowds. Also this past summer I had the privlage of joining the Music City Drum and Bugle Corps. The only way to describe Drum Corps to those who have never witnessed it is to call it professional marching band. We compete in DCI (Drum Corps International) competitions across the country and preform in front of crowds of thousands of people. The largest crowd I have preformed in front of was over 30,000 people. I also marched in the CMA (Country Music Awards) Parade which was telivized across the nation. Acting has always been a dream of mine, and being apart of the Aladdin legacy would be incredible. I am willing to answer any and all questions. I’m 5 feet tall and about 106 pounds. My skin is probably described as a creamy tan. I’m a Junior at Valley Christian High School that has a very impressive arts program. We have gotten so many wonderful opportunities and awards do to our excellent arts program, especially in the theatre department. I have been involved in theatre and acting since I was in 8th grade. I’ve been in 5 theatre shows so far and I would love to get a different style of acting outside of the theater. As of this year, I have also joined Children’s Musical Theatre in San Jose California. I think that in order to strengthen my skills I should branch out to something different such as film acting. I love to really work hard for my goals and I would be very committed and honored to be a part of this film even if it’s a role as small as an extra. I will give it my all and be the best I can possibly be. I also love trying new things and I will pursue the practice it takes to accomplish something. It is a dream of mine to strengthen my skills, reach my goals, do bigger things, and hopefully get bigger roles as the years go by. I will do what it takes to be involved in this film. I have been taking vocal lessons since I was about 8 years old. My teacher that I have now also has me sing songs from musicals so I practice my acting through that. When I was younger I was always found watching movies and musicals and just acting out my favorite roles. I would even do this with my dad. I am a quick observer so I even strengthen my skills by just watching movies and plays. I used to dance hula, but if I am given a dance, I am capable of doing it with practice. Dancing is a skill my mom’s side of the family also has. I’ve been in musicals that involve dancing as well. Like I said I’m observant and I’m good at copying what I’m told to do. I’m a very friendly person as well and I love to meet new people. I bond with people very quickly. Again this would be such an honor for me to a part of this cast. With the vocal lessons I’ve been taking since I was 8, they were not just lessons, but we are trained to go out and perform.
